Can’t say we’re the only SEC team without a Q1 win anymore..

Ahh back when we were good in November

We were never “good” Jim. We played atrocious OOC teams. Our marquee OOC win was against UCF

Sweet. I don’t see how they can possibly leave us out the tournament with such a resume

LSU was, mostly, winning their OCC games. That was an improvement from last year. But throughout that entire time the underlying data was suggesting this may not be that good of a team. For most of the non-conference schedule LSU was rated 14th or 15th among SEC teams in the KenPom and other predictive data metrics. The offense was especially weak. Yes, even with Kareem Abdul Reed.
I was cautiously optimistic at the start of SEC play, but aware of what those numbers were suggesting. To his credit, MM had been good in the first week of SEC play in his first two seasons. But the opening loss vs Vandy kind of brought to light the reality that was lurking beneath…this wasn’t a good team.

I feel sorry for the guy, because he's seems like a good person. I wonder what he thinks in his spare time? He has to know that getting fired is a real possibility, and even though he'll cash a huge check, no one really wants to fail. I don't think.
