LSU’s offense, defense and special teams for 2021 rate from 1 to 10

LSU special teams in 2021, I would predict to be close to a 9, could go higher with some key TD returns by LSU, very easy to envision this unit reaching an elite level for the season. Kickoffs, field goals, punts and punt return units all appear solid, LSU has the talent to change the outcome of games with this group.
LSU’s defense in 2021, I predict will be an eight, with the capability to peak at 9. If the Dline and secondary create multiple turnovers, which they appear capable of, 9 seems attainable but not a sure thing. The LSU defense still feels the sting of last year’s mental breakdowns, maybe that’s motivation enough to get the Tigers at 9.
The offense in 2021 at first glance doesn’t appear capable of reaching a 9, an elite level. The main reason being the Oline though are all experienced, is just one or two injuries away from kneecapping this offense. Hard to go 13 games without an injury here, and no other group appears as vulnerable to injuries because of a lack of depth.
If the LSU Oline remains intact and improves, depth, a one loss LSU seems very logical. It’s nearly impossible for any group to attain a 10 but the 2019 LSU offense made it look easy.

Avery’s mom puts them in at 10.

Let’s play a game first. We really have no idea how good (or bad) this team is.

That’s nailing Crumble’s balls to the wall with a rusty nail.

Special teams - 8
We have no idea how good our punter is. I've seen zero reports on fall camp about Todd
Offense - 6
Defense - 8

Can Daronte Jones fix it all and get everybody on the same page with no experience as a DC? Will he be able to make adjustments when they can't stop the run or the pass? (DC 10 years ago at a Div.2 school doesn't count)
BTW, why didn't Corey Raymond step in and clean up all the Defensive Back Dysfunction of last season? It got progressively worse as the year went by and didn't get fixed. Why is nobody asking this? (All the Pump Lump Nuts say he's the GOAT DB coach, so it's a legitimate question)

we haven't played a single down of football in 2021.
Just watch and enjoy the games - at some point, it will all become clear.

If LSU's defense is an 8 out of 10, then I guess you are saying that LSU will have a top 20 defense this year. Given that last year's defense was the worst in LSU history (98th scoring defense; 124th in total defense; 115th passing defense; 67th rushing defense), and given that the same players are involved, then I guess we are predicting that Daronte Jones will engineer the greatest unit turnaround in college football history. I look forward to finding out.

I think it has more to do with how much our defense underachieved last year. We were still talented on that side of the ball but we had no reason to be as bad on defense as we were last year. With Bo's poor coaching/scheme and shite show from Covid, I'm willing to call last year a fluke. If we're not close to a top 25-30 defense, then last year may be more than just a bad break...
