We just let 20 seconds run off click dribbling 30 feet from the basket.

People don't realize how much Louis does for this team that is not in the stat sheet. She takes so much of the load off of players like Mitchell, Jackson, Pointer etc

She does ALOT, but it’s not like this team goes from 19 wins to 10 without her. Jackson’s scoring and Mitchell’s development has been just as valuable, in my opinion. There have been some games, like this, where Raigyne is just gone (offensively and defensively), but the result may have been different.

Okay so now we will put all of the production of Louis on Jackson and Mitchell next year? They cant always do it they need help. No doubt both players are studs

Nice to be the first team they beat in a tournament in their history. Seems I have seen this before.

Is Jackson returning?

Who does LSU lose? Any players coming in?

What I am saying is, it is not as drastic as you tend to make it seem, especially on offense. Her defensive tenacity is what will be missed and damn near irreplacable. However on the offensive end, the turnovers, inconsistency on her jump shot, and just not using her athleticism to get to the rim, left something to be desired.

They do this all the time. They have no 3 point shooters so they think they can do it by driving to the basket. But they use up clock trying to find an opening. The other team loves it.

We played too slow. Let them control the pace the whole game and played right into their hands.

I agree completely but her spark on defense and also a major source for LSU offensiveness IMO

Turnover and deflections she causes

But she did put up a lot of points so my question is who will step up to replace all her production. Yes she can be very inconsistent but she also was one of the few players on a team who can take over and compete with all these top teams

The grandma coach and her “lucky socks” just took Nicki to school. CMU controlled the game and took advantage of every weakness we have.

I agree. Nikki’s best basketball teams win ugly. Fast paced, turnovers, pressing, etc. I didn’t see that today and Central Michigan took advantage of lack of pressure.

It is definitely time for a change. Nikki can’t win postseason games outside of our arena. She has failed to recruit a quality, coordinated low post player. Mitchell is a good player but can only do so much by herself and only so much against taller girls. We get by on athletic guards that surprisingly aren’t real 3-point shooting threats. So basically all other teams have to do is pack it in on defense. Likewise, we are terrible at defending the 3-point shot. Please find someone else that gets better results for the money the school pays.

Okay, here is where we are after seven years of Nikki Fargas.

Folding up like a card table in both the SECs and NCAAs.

Two straight one-and-dones in the NCAAT.

In any cost-benefit analysis, Nikki is not coming out on the positive side of the ledger.

No, Nikki is not Johnny Jones, but she is vastly overpaid, considering when she was hired, we still had visions of returning to five-straight-Final-Fours territory.

When is her contract up? If she stays, it needs to be on a drastically reduced contract. If she doesn’t like that, then tough shite, she can walk.

Is the Will Wade of WBB out there anywhere?
