2009 is unrealistic. See above posts.

You must consider schedule. Look at the 2009 schedule and ask yourself, do we beat Bama, Florida, Georgia (in Georgia) and Ole Miss? I think that three of those are losses. If one of the QB's really turns it on, maybe 2 losses, and LSU is in the SEC West hunt.

It will be hatch's team next year. It will be jarrett lee and Hatch. Because they are the deserving upperclassmen with great character.

I am not worried at all about our offense.

Get a load of this:

QB
Jefferson and Garrett at QB, and Shepard as slot Harvin/S. Green-type, direct snap athlete-type).
Lee, Hatch, McCartney as reserves

TB Scott, Williams, Murphy, Holliday, D.Pratt, M.Ford, (C. Michael ?) with L.Seastrunk in '10

FB Ridley, D. Allen

TE Dickson, Edwards, Joseph, Branch, Russian

WR K.Bell, D.Benton, Lafell, Dixon, D.Peterson, Toliver, Tolliver, R.J. Jackson, Williams, Molton, J.Mitchell, C. Mitchell,
(R.Randle, A.Debose ??)

Holliday and C.Jones as return specialists.

Jasper, Crutchfield, Alleman as kickers.

As per Lowell Galindo on ESPNU InsideThe Polls, the headlines on December 8, 2009 will read "Russell Shepard Leads LSU To SEC West Title.

By December 8, more than the SEC West should be decided.

This year the west was horrible and the only team you played from the East was UGA.

Next year, the West will not be as horrid and Bama's oline will be new along with a new QB.

This was not said before this season.

We'll see...

I think we can beat ala next year bc of their unproven qb situation, but they will be very good on defense. I wouldn't write off a very talented ole miss team whose coach seems to have our number or maybe the weak defensive scheme's number

Bama fans get so butthurt when you make a prediction that they're not going to win every game. Every team has their year. Bama may be on the rise, but the SEC, especially the SEC West, was weak this year. When it gains speed again, Bama starts losing again. Bama got lucky with stable play in an unstable conference for the year. The only team that looked to have any stability was Florida after the loss, playing with the same intensity every game, and they beat Bama by 10 without Percy Harvin.

Bama fans: Congrats on a stellar year, but your days are numbered.

I guess Saban needs to thank all of the SEC coaches for letting his team enjoy the spotlight once then!

Seriously, just because the SEC will be tougher next year and should get better for years to come doesn't mean that Bama will start losing again. We played 16 true freshmen this year and we're still going strong in recruiting so we'll be stocked with talent just like LSU, UF, and UGA.

of course they will. they've won it in 2001, 2003, 2005, and 2007.
