Looking at the SEC's schedule now, Aresco said he expects Alabama to be on CBS five times during the regular season, along with five appearances each by Florida and LSU.

at Florida
at Auburn
vs. Alabama
vs. Arkansas
I guess the 5th will be either vs. WVU or vs. Ole Miss.

As long as four of the five are away games, that's fine with me.
Also, note that they might move LSU-Ark back to Friday in 11/12 (apparently because Saban is complaining about the short week of preparation for Bama-AU).

I am confused, i thought that starting this year we play on abc or espn because of the new contract. What happened with that?

Aresco said CBS will look at LSU-Arkansas again on the day after Thanksgiving in 2011 and '12, if the schools are willing.

SEC has 2 TV contracts. CBS gets first choice most weeks. ESPN gets the rest to put on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN360.(One of these games will be the 11:30 game(old JP game is now broadcast by ESPN on a local network. This early game can also be found on various DirecTV chanels like MSG)In addition, CBS gets 2 doubleheader weekends so there will be a CBS night game and a ESPN night game(s).

They do have 2 night games on CBS. If we are highly ranked when we play on the doubleheader weekends and get picked by CBS, we could get the CBS night slot.

He bitched about too many of Bama's opponents having bye weeks before their games with the Gumps, and now this.
It will be interesting to see if CBS caves in to his demands.
Looks like CBS wants to move LSU/Arky back to Friday afternoon. What happens if one, the other, or both don't want to?

LSU UNC will be a night game on ABC just like Bama last year.
I don't think CBS broadcasts college football for the first few weeks of the season.

How can FL, AL, and LSU be on CBS 5 times each? Does CBS broadcast games regionally? Wouldn't that be more games than weekends? What detail am I missing here?
