Why would you cancel a whole trip because the kickoff time is 11am?
Would you feel the same way if CBS picked it up for a 2:30pm kick?

11am games are horrible to attend in person. Don’t really mind it on the road if I’m not going though

The time is perfect for me. I am driving in from Virginia on Friday and staying with my brother, who lives 20 miles from Vandy. The shouldnt be nearly as bad for a day game as well.

I know Tenn is bad, but SEC Network taking San Jose St vs Arky over the a great rivalry in Tenn/Fla. That makes not sense! They want no conflict with the ND/Ga game at all!

So what is it about the 11am kick that turned you off?
The angle of the sun? The heat? Not being able to tailgate before the game?

Since you asked:
1. Nights games have better atmosphere. Has nothing to do with tailgating. We're not partiers.
2. Dropping $300 for tickets for this game isn't worth it since it starts at 11 am. Been waiting since 2005 for them to come back to Vanderbilt...
3. Don't want to leave house at 9:00 am for a football game while dragging my wife down there. She likes to rest on Saturday mornings while I play golf and couldn't care less about LSU football.
4. Want to play golf with my group Saturday morning. If I sell my current tickets, I can still play 18 and get down there to watch the last three quarters on a cheaper ticket.

There are no bad tickets for vandy games considering you can move freely around the stadium and make your way to the 50 yard line by the middle of the second quarter.

When i was looking going to Nashville I was hoping for an 11am game. Knock out the game early and go get dinner/go out later. Sounds like a great day.

pros: game over at 3
hit nashvegas for the duration
watch all the other games while barhopping
can still call it a night fairly early after some mild debauchery
cons: getting up earlier after a Friday night on braodway
the completely open stadium with no shade
