LSU vs UCF because Florida is scared of them

I know of zero fans of UF or UM that want to play each other again. This has got the be Florida lobbying against UCF because losing would kill them.
There is no question that the best matchups are:
LSU vs Michigan playing for the first time ever in the fiesta
And
Florida vs UCF settling an in state rivalry within driving distance
There is no question that the best matchups are:

That would have been a great matchup, though. As far as giving UCF a chance to beat the big dogs in Florida. I would have liked to see it.

Can you blame them? Imagine the effect of a bowl loss to Central Florida. They could parlay that into stealing some in-state recruits, and maybe even a step up to a P5 conference.
It would be like having LaTech go two years without a loss and playing us in a NY6 bowl.

I agree with this. Not sure why an instate UCF vs UF matchup isn’t even in the conversation. Personally I don’t care who Florida plays but I’d much rather LSU play Michigan for the first time.

No one wants to play UCF. What if the little dog has a viscous bite ? Can you imagine Dan Mullen critics if UF list to UCF ? How do you live that down ?

UF isn't scared. They just said they want to schedule a 2 for 1 but the beggars are being choosers despite saying no one will schedule them.
