Like someone else said...I do expect the home team to make a run...maybe to within 10, but they just dont seem to have the horses and LSU seems too focused on trying to dispel the "LSU cant win on the road" mantra...

LSU 78 Ole Miss 65

What are the odds that Ole Miss makes a run and cuts this to single digits in the second half?

Yeah, he got some orange.

Can't believe this team has held an SEC team to 18 points after 1 half.

So far...

GT - shooting well, passing well, rebounding, and great D.

MT - off...needs to use his passing skills to make others better, for the duration.

TM - Solid as usual, but needs the ball even more.

CJ - above avg performance, but looked very bad at times. He needs to stretch his game.

BS - Looking more and more mature each trip down the court...made one mistake and learned from it.

wow, ole miss stinks.

at the half: 41-18
LSU: 15/33 for 45.5% from the field
OM: 8/28 for 28.6% from the field

3 pointers:
LSU 4/7, 57.1%
OM: 2/11, 18.2%

free throws:
LSU: 7/10, 70%
OM: 0/0

Pretty dominating so far

I don't know, but I wouldn't put a penny on it.

Yeah, Tiger shooting dried up late in the half and, well, Ole Miss shooting has sucked since the get-go.

With the current rpi not too good. Hopefully some SEC teams can remain ranked and help that out with LSU wins over those teams.

Never say never when it comes to LSU basketball. Remember in the early 90s when Kentucky made the huge comeback in the 2nd half?

Yes, I think the Florida game in February will be a huge game in deciding whether we get in.

if we can somehow go 2-0 next week and i like our chances a lot...a good OOC win against a top 25 team + starting off 3-1 in conference play (assuming today's 23 point lead holds up)

we aren't a good basketball team. But, if we play well, we can win a ton of games in the SEC. If we do that, we can make the tourney.

I wouldn't be surprised. Fans this year remind me baseball fans last year (including me). We didn't look to have a shot and then got hot and went crazy.

If the basketball team plays good D and continues to shoot well, we can do a lot of damage in the SEC.
