Waters not the hero this time around. Mays hits the game winner.

MOO State 77
LSU 74

LSU has shown that when the stage is big that they tend to have a let down. State is seeded higher for a reason. Tremonts mask will get knocked around hard a time or two and this will affect his aggressiveness driving to the basket. I believe in Wade and it would be an upset if LSU wins. Sampson has struggled most of the season and Duop will once again be playing hurt. The key to this game is limiting turnovers when the stage is big. I think even LSU staff and players have got into their mind that they are an NIT team.

I’m nervous too.

I think they’re thinking about today’s game only. If they win they’ll think about the next game only. etc., etc. That’s how Wade works. Other members of the basketball staff are responsible for setting up logistics and scouting for both NIT and NAAT, so WW thinks about nothing but the next game.

Wade is realistic about where the team’ll probably end up, but his comments about that are just making sure the NIT selection committee know’s we’re interested, if the NCAAT doesn’t happen. IMO. He’s not going to settle for NIT.
