This is one of the worst officiated games I have ever seen in organized sports. I have seen better officiated pick up games at the Y...by illeagel aliens

LSU put up a good fight but, in the end the big advantage on the boards and the early foul trouble may have worked against them. Interestingly, LSU only turned the ball over 7 times to Louisville's 13 turnovers.
In the end, this team was just a little too young and inexperienced to pull it out.
LSU 52
Louisville 62
Team FG% - LSU 41%, UL 45%
Rebounds LSU 25, UL 39
Free Throws - LSU 12-21, UL 15-17
Turnovers - LSU 7, UL 13
Individually...........
LSU
Morris 13 pts, 5 rebs, 1 ast, 1 blk (in her final collegiate game)
Hightower 21 pts, 5 ast, 2 stl, 2 rebs
Graham 9 pts, 4 rebs, 3 ast, 2 stl
Barrett 7 pts, 4 rebs, 1 stl
Louisville
McCoutry 28 pts, 8 rebs
Bingham 17 pts, 6 rebs
And so it ends........................................................................................................
At the beginning of this season I predicted that this young team would finish the regular season 18-10 and make the sweet sixteen. They made good on the first one but, just fell short on the second one. But, all in all, it was a great season for such a young team. I'm really excited about the potential of this team. Next season when Dunning's in shape, Black and Turnbow have more experience, Kelly's more integrated into the offense, and Hughes gets more confidence, this will be a SEC championship / final four team again. Considering the players we have coming in next year to add to the mix, the future looks extremely bright. So, I say for the final time this season....................................................

Great season ladies looking forward to next year

This game was bullshite. And it was the first women's basketball game I've ever been to. Some of those ladies (and men) really get down.
But I'm 0-1 at them now.
But I'm 0-1 at them now.

We had a great season but I wish someone could teach these girls how to jump. The only one who jumps is hightower. Last nite we had four girls rebounding and got out rebounded by one girl because they jump and we stand flat footed. YHour right about dunning if she just lose's weight she may be a good player

Epilogue..........
Here's the writeup, video press conference, and boxscore from last night's game....................

Some more thoughts the morning after................................................
- Allison Hightower is rounding into the player that Pokey had said she would be when she was recruited. I really didn't believe that she'd be a "Seimone-type" player when Pokey iterated as much. But, now, the way Allison's been playing in the second half of the season I'm a believer. I believe that right now, Hightower is the best all around guard............other than Temeka Johnson.............that LSU has had since Marie Ferdinand (Seimone was a forward not a guard). She should put up first team all american numbers next season. When you look at how she played in the last nine games.....
Florida - 21 pts
Georgia -16 pts (led all scorers)
Kentucky - 20 pts
Tennessee - 14 pts 13 rebs
Ole Miss - 12 pts 7 ast
MSU - 23 pts
Vandy - 6 pts
UWGB - 26 pts
Louisville - 21 pts 5 ast
..........it's clear that towards the end of the season, she started to understand exactly how good she can be. This can only bode well for the team for next season.
- Lasondra Barrett was everything she was supposed to be. She struggled yesterday versus Louisiville.......................which isn't a big surprise for a freshman. But, again she showed, once SEC play started, that she will be an all SEC type player for years to come.
- All the freshmen.............................................
Having this many freshman on a team at one time definitely took away from their ability to develop chemistry early...................and it showed. But, once Van settled on a lineup, it appeared the team did gain a little chemistry. I am really excited about Swayze Black, Ayana Dunning, and Taylor Turnbow. At times, each of them looked a little lost. But, each also showed at times flashes of brilliance that, with time, can be developed. Dunning obviously needs to lose weight, but she has terrific offensive abilities. Turnbow is great defensively but, needs a little work finishing shots. Black, in my opinion, has the most potential of them all. She's got the size, athleticism, and the body, to be a dominant post player. She already shoots for a good percentage offensively. This is the area of the team I'm most excited about. Destini Hughes, appears to need some more confidence and less confusion while on the court. We know she's got the athleticism but, she really needs to learn how to play the game and not just rely on that..................especially if Van is going to continue to try and make her a point guard. Kelly, although technically not a newcomer, just needs to be able to pick her spots shooting the ball, and learn to be a better ball handler. If each of these freshmen / jc transfer improves a little, collectively this team will be MUCH better next season.
- Although, not a huge recruiting class, I think that Bianca Lutley, Adrienne Webb and Jasmine Nelson all bring talents that will greatly improve the team.........especially Nelson.
Next season, LSU should be contending for the SEC championship and another final four run. This will be the biggest, if not the most athletic team, that we've fielded siince I can remember. It will be interesting to have a team that can possibly score from all five positions on the floor for a change.
Now, if only we can work on that free throw shooting........................................................
:-))
