Either you are 20 years old or have lived under a rock...this was and will again be a great rivalry.

Visitors seats are way up in the shite section. I wouldn't waste the money.

I have no idea. I jumped on the LSU band wagon in 2005 so no idea why they would like it. For me I go crazy over Florida, Bama, georgia and any good OOC Div 1 school that is not a cream puff.

A&M did not jack up the ticket prices for the LSu game. Those are normal prices for our games. The Texas game has been $100 for several years. If people are jacking up prices on stubhub don't blame the school. When you discount 31,000 tickets each game, the rest of the ticket holders pick up the difference and we are proud to do it. Unlike most schools A&M puts students before season ticket holders as it should be.

Texas A&M is just another game to me. They are Mississippi State of the southwest.

This X 1000

I was disappointed when LSU had to play Texas A&M in the cotton bowl a couple of years ago. I thought LSU deserved to play a better team. I was not wrong as Texas A&M was no match against a good LSU team much less an elite LSU team.

Actually, the 1st Tigers/Aggies game was played in 1899. The Cotton Bowl game was the 50th meeting, the 75th CB, & the 150th anniversary of our beloved Ole War Skule.

I'm 32. I'm not disputing that this is a rivalry. It's just not a big one to me. I'm like the poster above who was disappointed in the cotton bowl matchup a couple years ago. With time I'm sure it'll become a bigger game to me but right now it's behind Florida, AU, Bama, Arky.

I agree that the ags did not deserve to be in that game. The moving up in the bowl selection was another straw for mizzou to leave.

There sure are a lot of bandwagon tiger fans that don't know LSU football history. It will be those same goobers that will be the most pissed when we beat your arse. Alas, that will not be this year.

Here's to renewing a fun rivalry.

would not enjoy hearing from the Ags for a year

i assume you meant you would not enjoy NOT hearing from them. for some inexplicable reason, i enjoy hearing of their misery. how they keep their spirits up is beyond me. i just love when they get crushed and love it more when lsu does the crushing. i feel sorry for ole miss fans having to deal with their perpetual ineptness but not so with the aggies. does this make me a bad person?

that is a matter of opinion and i disagree. i like lsu's system and feel it's fair to both the students and the alumni. in fact, a case can be made that alumni are just as important as students, esp. when you consider many alumni are footing said students bills. they will be alumni soon enough.

that's why we don't let those student's have all the seats in tiger stadium. also, lsu has about half the students a&m does so 40,000 seats are unnecessay. in fact, i will say that a&m has about the same number of students that don't get tickets as lsu (becasue of said size differential). lastly, isn't GOOBER a candy bar? made in nasville. a goober and an ibc black cherry drink is about as good as it gets.

I'm 31 and graduated from LSU 2003. I know LSU's football history. Sorry if I don't get excited about playing a mid-tier team from Texas. Big deal. I would rather beat Bama, Auburn, Arkansas, Florida, and Ole Miss. Heck, I would also be excited about playing Georgia and Tenn.

The real excitement about this game comes from playing in Texas. LSU fans living in Texas will have a game close by to go watch. It doesn't matter if they are plying A&M, UT, TCU, or etc... Seeing LSU play in person is the real reason for hysteria in Texas.

This settles it...kick aTm out of the conference and cancel this year's game!

it's normal for many fans to undervalue our football team. we've been mediocre for a decade. But we have the potential to be good/great again, and when we are, LSU fans living in Texas will get an earful from Aggies everyday. looking forward to next year.
