All you have to do was listen to the damn interviews when o was asked about the scrimmage

I think max is good and will do great but you don’t listen to the information that’s put out there and just make shite up

Max didn't have one bad scrimmage period. He had one that was quite difficult, but nevertheless, he still played excellent given the circumstances. Not to mention that Ed O never once said Max played bad and needed to improve. Not once.

In the second scrimmage, Max led scoring drives on the first three drives on the number one defense and the people that watched the scrimmage afterward were comparing him to Joe Burrow.

Meanwhile, with respect to the people that have watched the practices in between the two scrimmages, they have all said Max has looked excellent.

A snowflake is an individual who believes in social justice. Meanwhile, social justice is a word coined by Marxists to dupe people into believing in Marxism. As, in essence, Marxism and social justice mean the same exact thing.

Moreover, Marxism, i.e., social justice, in time always miserably fails each and every time it is employed.

Wow, the snowflakes are down voting my post. I didn't know we had so many Marxists that frequent this site until today and that explains a lot.

You don’t have to be a SJW to be a snowflake. Snowflake isn’t about ideology but for about fortitude and opinion of ones self.

Sampah was a 5 star before his injury. Can’t wait to see him and white out there.

This is what I was hoping to read in this thread, who has the talent at linebacker to be a terror. Through all of the practices I heard of DB’s and Dlinemen being mentioned as making plays but not much about linebackers.

LSU used Clyde more but still featured several backs early on, that all changed as the season progressed when Clyde hardly left the field on offense.
Nah. You're remembering wrong. Clyde was clearly the guy in the beginning. Price's carries were around 4-7 per game the entire year. Emery got some play vs Vandy and Utah St, but that's about it.

Not worried about LB. DBs and DL will carry the defense until the LB positions get settled.

The thing with the WRs is that we have so much talent, that outside of Boutte, there are no inked in starters. The best 4 will work themselves in by the time the real games get going.

RB will work the same way.

Tell “Mr. Great hands” to start signing more offensive linemen.

I’m still very worried about our running backs. Not much chrome back there…

On offense I’m more worried about Max scoring TD’s, based on how he’s practiced.

Dude let us see those practice videos? Don’t hold out on us if you’ve seen him at practice then obviously you would have some videos, pics or something?

Or is your opinion based on the stats that have been given to us from two scrimmages where we have no idea how the scrimmage was played, which situations they were put in, how fast they went, how much they ran the ball with Max or how much time was spent on these things.

They could have drove the ball down the field once, got a TD and then went to long yardage or short yardage situations after they saw that specific situations is what was needed. The players and coaches are impressed with him and from the footage I’ve seen the kid is slinging it with some accuracy. Not sure what you talking about really?

Does it really matter these days who starts or not? Kids have bad games so starters can have a bad game or two so it would be best to play the best players that day so they can all get some experience. We have some serious talent at WR, RB and at LB.

We must be ok if the transfer from Clemson came in expecting some playing time but realized that LSU has some dudes at lb and reality sunk in that he may have to watch football this year. We don’t even know who the real starters are at OL or DL either. It’s a new year so no matter what you think you know, you’ll always have some surprises when the games start.

As long as we have players to fall back on who are just as talented and we do, then it’s perfectly normal. Plus that will give our opponent a lot to prepare for and try to figure out on the fly come game day. You can say it’s an advantage for them to play a game but the talent difference from Hawaii to LSU is so vast that one game with a weak opponent really won’t help them at all. It could actually hurt them more if their players get a false sense of security if they blow Hawaii out.

I agree mostly, but I think with mike Jones(who?) it was more of a mis evaluation on the staffs part on if he could be a plug and play guy. It doesn’t seem he perfectly fits into our formation: he’s more of a hybrid nickel/safety/Lb who plays in space than a pure play in the middle/box and fill a hole guy.
Either CDC will need to play with how we use him or he beefs up and continues to learn how to play in the box

The team went into that year knowing CEH was the starter, it was only a toss up amongst fans.

Yeah, Clyde was the starter, we (fans) didn't think he was big enough. People were wondering if Emory would break out, or if Davis-Price would be the man. Everyone figured Clyde was just more of a 3rd down back.
