Are these squat numbers supposed to be impressive? I've known several athletes to be able to squat much more than this. Moffitt has been holding back our strength training program for years.

Rantard post of the day. Mofitt has been holding back our conditioning for years is just...

I don't think you realize how valuable he is. Not to mention how badly other major programs have been trying to get him.

Dreds, not sure if serious.

Moffitt is doing anything BUT holding back the players. Moffitt is THE reason why LSU has outlasted teams and attributed to so many 4th qtr wins.

I don't see how anyone can bash these numbers. I would love to see some of these people squat 12 plates.

Trent richardson is the strongest on bamas team and he squats 600

Micheal ford has a better bench then him if i am not mistaken. They are really close strength wise

Yeah best in the business that is why our team has no 4th quarter endurance and we have a minimum of 10+ injuries per game. Our conditioning program is complete garbage. Moffitt needs to move on.

Yep, its nothing to do with an Offense that keeps them on the field constantly. Gothcha, work em harder Moffit.

We're still using 1970's strength and conditioning programs with Moffitt. We need to upgrade to the 21st century.

You're an idiot if you think our strength and conditioning coach is holding us back. That simple, you're an idiot.

i feel like most people that come on here trying to claim our squat numbers suck and this guy from back in the day did 900 lbs yada yada don't underdstand a true full squat, which is what our players do.

i've seen people claim a big squat max, then watch them do it to realize they would get laughed out of the gym in a real athletic training environment with their form.

Dude I've seen the form that Moffitt stresses they are nothing more than chair squats. Tony Horton probably could do just as many lbs with that form. The depth is non-existent.

Correct, albeit with knee wraps and a squat suit.

Dreds, what would be your advice to Moffitt & Co.to upgrade the current "1970's program" to 21st century programs?

What should Moffitt improve and implement for positive change?

Moffitt is stuck in his ways the best thing LSU can do at this piont is cut sling and get a new coach. Preferrably someone that knows a little about supplementation and dynamic power.

I agree that Moffit is mediocre. He is a good friend of mine but our 4th quarter conditioning the past couple of years has been piss poor.

Bring in Mike Leach or Mark Mangino. If guys are being pussies then they get locked in a closet or choked/shaken

I'm dead serious this is approaching the point of asininity that we keep this guy on the payroll when he underperforms every year.
