@GoodmanESPN: Northwestern State has one of the best unknown guys in the country in Jalen West. He put up 33 points and 5 assists against LSU today.
NSU has had several guys off those strong Bossier teams

Jesus, did anyone else score? That's 102 points between the 4 of them
The scrimmage was probably not a typical 40 minute game...it probably went longer with some situational stuff thrown in there...kinda like when they release football scrimmage stats...its not a real game.

Is it just me, or does Mike McConathy remind you of Bill Clinton a little?

Either way they are freshmen
Actually they are not all freshman. I'm including in that statement some of the players that stayed, and they actually do have multiple players who have for a change. Lot's of top 10 national recruits on that roster right now.

Kentucky is going to be very, very good.
No offense but that's the case virtually every year. It was the case last year when LSU did beat them and should have beaten them 2 of 3. This shapes up to be a classic matchup in 2015.

You are not listening. This Kentucky team would beat last year's kentucky team by double digits 19 out of 20 games. This is not a normal calipari team. He has 6 sophs and juniors returning (from National championship finals) to pair with 4 top 50 recruits...2 of those recruits are top 10 Draft picks.

I watched them this summer in the Jamaica deal and at times they were extremely good. At times they were good. It's a different team than last year. they were much diff from beginning of year to end of year last year.
LSU is a question mark in my mind. Look competitive on paper but that doesn't always translate

This.
Kentucky isn't just super talented this year, they have a TON of experience too.

NSU is typically pretty solid. Anyone know anything about their squad this year?
Last year's team was supposed to be the tournament team. Mac needs a bench full of seniors to run his rotations like he wants..but they should be pretty good. Jalen West is big time.

Yep I've been to a few practices and was asked not to reveal info. Both Gray and Hornsby are legit. Strap it on the pace was frantic.

We need them to be legit, and I'm hearing reports similar to yours from others in the know.
Of course I heard similar things earlier last year about some of the newcomers and they did not live up to it. Difference here is both Gray and Hornsby have college experience.
Still I've learned to be cautious, but I'm excited to see what they can do.

You are misinformed. Kentucky has its best team since '96... and maybe better. 10 players will average 20 minutes. They will run just about every team they play out of the gym.
They've had 2 or 3 teams more talented than the '96 team over the past decade or so. Last year's team will likely wind up having 5 or 6 number ones and LSU beat them once and should have beaten them twice. They do have a great group of freshmen again this season but the reason they are number one is the non-freshmen who returned. Project to have only 1 freshman starting- 2 at most. They deserve to be considered #1 for sure. LSU is legitimately in the top 4 in the SEC on paper and the league should be improved across the board this season.

I agree and I think we've upgraded on the bench as well. Of course you never know how the dynamics of coaching will work and CJJ, unlike Dale who had no issues delegating, is very hands on.
As for Kentucky, I think something to think about is Calipari has mostly worked with new superfreshmen classes due to high turnover.
This year he has a mix of returning stars used to playing alot, and highly touted frosh expecting to play alot. Will be interesting to see how that works for him. Could be something that causes problems.
