Obviously Caden is the starter but I do think we see a lot of the other backs based on the running backs by committee. If Trey is found not guilty ( spoken to sources close with the situation and trial probably shouldn’t last a day ) I think he sees a lot of action . Kaleb probably has a bounce back year from last year . The two freshmen will probably redshirt if not needed

Wait you're not being serious are you?

Harlem Berry isn't redshirting. Lindsay either for that matter.

Harlem Berry is definitely not redshirting, 0% chance

Why you think he isn’t ? Cause he was a 5 Star ?

Because he's really good and you're not redshirting a player that dynamic with that much ability both as a runner and catching the ball out of the backfield. Also, we have a really thin running back room. Trey Holly is still a question mark with only 12 carries at this level and hasn't taken a snap since the bowl game against Wisconsin. Kaleb Jackson is coming off a year where he struggled at times.

No. Because LSU only has two scholarship RBs with experience on the roster (Durham and Jackson). They aren't going through the whole season with those two guys getting every snap (outside of 4 games). Berry and Lindsey are going to play. They aren't redshirting.

That's an understatement. He went from 5.3 ypc in 2023 to 3.4 in 2024. We're really thin at RB imo. We need all these guys to step up.

Also, redshirting 5 stars is a way to have them never play a down for you.

They can enter the portal at any time and will.

We sucked on the goal line so I wouldn’t mind seeing an I formation with Durham at RB and Jackson at FB

We'll need all of them.

Running backs take a pounding and get hurt/nicked, so as I said.

I don't think Holley will be anywhere close to being ready to play unless it's in the latter part of the season, at best.

Did you not pay attention to spring ball? Berry saw a lot of reps & was lined up at multiple positions. You are kinding yourself if you think Kelly & Sloan aren't going to make use of his talents this upcoming season.

Trey Holley is going to have a decent career, at Grambling.

Running the ball is way down the list of what our OC likes to do. Just get accustomed to LSU throwing a lot.

I believe all will play but how fast the youngsters pick up pass blocking will be key to their playing time-obviously. Kelly and Sloan won’t risk Nuss getting decapitated. He said as much in an interview with Reese Davis last week when referring to Durham’s growth as a compete back.
