Notre Dame loses to USC Florida loses to Fl State Bama beats Dogs Texas beats K State Oregon loses to Oregon St. Where does this leave LSU?

Nd, oregon and ksu would still only have one loss. I don't think a two loss sec team could jump a one loss team. Lsu would probably be fourth or fifth.

U guys are so spoiled! I am an old Dude when I went to Lsu we weren"t so good but we still screamed our heads off & did not leave in the 3rd. quarter. Lsu has done fine this year with the injury's & schedule. I don't think some of u ranters know much about football or know Kent st. from Bama!

Jerry's world against the Sooners or Longhorns in January is friggin legit.

Cap One not bad either since the installation of the artificial turf. But you have to compete with a shite load of other games.

ChicFilA is a prime time night game and to my knowledge the only game on but it lacks prestige.

If LSU were to not qualify for a BCS game, my preference in order would be:
Cotton
Cap One
Outback
CFilA

God, please...don't let Alabama get another mulligan.

Why? I want the SEC to keep this streak going. Being in the best conference helps our recruiting. Plus, I will never understand the hate toward Nick Saban. He took a higher paying job, it didn't work out, and we had already moved on when he was ready to come back. He is the best coach in college football today, possible ever.

Must be nice not to remember the 90's when just going to a bowl game was a great year

Must be nice to be stuck in the 90's. Last I checked, this is 2012 and we have won 2 national titles in the last 10 years and went to a third. If your barometer is the 90's, then that is just ridiculous. We have far better facilities now, pay our coaches a lot more, and pull in significantly better talent. Your expectations should be much, much higher than the dark days of the freaking 90's.

I really hope so! Cotton bowl or less would be disappointing considering the talent we have on the field.

LSU/TX would be huge in the Cotton. An ooportunity for the Tigers to claim their rightful place as Texas State Champs.

Not this shite again.

Yes it would be very disappointing because this isn't the 90's first off cowboy Jack. I remember the 90's and can appreciate this more. With that said we have 10x the athletes that we had in the 90's and this team was built for a NC this year. The Cotton bowl would be ;(

some fans have unreasonable expectations. Sure, before the season we thought this team had a chance to be really special and make it's way to Miami. Then our Heisman candidate is kicked off the team, and the injuries just starting piling up. Add to that a first year starter at QB, an inexperienced receiving corp, and you have the recipe for a slow start

Hell, I'm proud of this team for being where they are now, with everything seemingly coming together, and a two-loss season and top 5 finish is fantastic

Of course, I'm one of the very few people that seem to think last year was awesome too

Nobody is stuck in the 90's, but we've learned that you cannot win it all every year. Case in point, Alabama (hopefully).

all that talent working out in state of the art facilities doesn't mean squat until they get some experience, and our offense struggled from a lack of experience. It wasn't hard to see coming, though some was just bad luck with the injuries.

I'm just thankful we are so deep and talented that despite all that, we were still in the title hunt and are still in the mix for a BCS bowl, or the Cotton or Cap 1

I was FR/SO for Dinardo's last years. I remember losing to UAB in 2000. Josh Booty, anyone?.

I'll take 10-2 all day. Our offense should be fully "gelled" next season and we have a legit shot at the NC.
