Seriously.... What white person is a dumb enough to call a 6 ft 200 lb black dude an N word ? No way in Hell I would ever do that... Drunk or not. I like my face and consciousness for that matter.

Can't believe people are sticking up for this kid after he not only snuck someone, but had an extra guy with him to do it. Ridiculous.

I can't believe people are still making disingenuous assertions when you don't know the facts behind this at all.

Unless you're the person who got smacked. In that case, fill us in.

to be perfectly honest. tell J. Hill he is dismissed from the team for the 2013 Season. see how he adjusts to his year without football. tell him no teammate interaction, no press, no twitter, no facebook. no nothing.

take everything away from him and see how he handles that. then he can work his arse off to get back onto the team and prove he is trustworthy off the field.

too much?
Some of you clearly don't know how D1 CFB works.

He's already deleted his social media outlets and why the hell would the press interview him if he's not longer on the team?

Also, telling a player he can't interact with teammates is just plain ridiculous at this point.

just a matter of time before the victim comes to his senses and asks the police to drop all charges... The pressure in BR will be too much. I know most ranters don't want to believe that but come on... 10 failed drug tests ?? Yes, we are talking about the same thing. Not saying it was right or wrong, just how BR works people.

Well, LSU character issues have been all over the news & forum & gossip sites the past few weeks. Started with a small blurb I read about Les Miles giving pre-draft advice to Jordan Jefferson and Tyrann Mathieu. Then of course ESPN magazine cover of Mathieu & multiple interviews. Then Hill gets arrested. Then Tharold Simon makes news for "intimidating" a police officer (saying he owned this town). I mean, yeah, it starts to make you wonder what the hell is going on. And those murmurs are getting louder:

What's going on at LSU?

a racial word, although reprehensible, does not grant the right to use physical force.

it just doesn't...especially to sneak someone from behind.

I tell you what Cpt. Go to North BR, walk up to a group of black guys on the street and call one of them that and then see what happens. Hill is suffering the consequences but that doesn't mean the guy didn't deserve the arse beating.

I'm going to jump in and answer that question if you dont mind. I'm assuming you are white, I'm white. We don't know what it's like to be victims of racial crimes. I don't know what it's like to be a minority and called a n.... That's why I think it's extremely subjective to say if you consider that racial slur would allow someone to commit a crime. I know words are words, but they carry different meanings for different people.

This.

I'm black and have experienced being called racial slurs before. Everyone reacts differently to it. I was the bigger man and walked away from it because if I would have let my emotions take over, I would have been in jail. J. Hill shouldn't have taken it that far.

For 20 yo black men, being disrespected 90 percent of the time these days will lead to a fight unfortunately. Hill probably felt like if he was disrespected and didn't do anything about it, he would be labeled a punk.
