LSU football is not going to win and lose games based on parking income. But there are so many LSU fans blindly loyal to ATTEMPTS to bring in more money, it helps give LSU free reign to do whatever they please.
bullshite. Paying money to change our facilities has been an absolute huge selling point for our program, and is one of the main reasons we were able to come out of the 90's. If you show a commitment in football, it will be represented on the field. As it has.

The chain gang has been doing it for years. No way they has been a huge jump in cost.
I don't pay for parking but I find it insulting they throughing bs excuses out like that.
Say we just want more revenue and less tailgating around the quad

You really must be stupid or a kid to respond to my post in the manner that you did. My bet is the former. The trash left behind by these so called "fans" cost LSU big bucks. Please link me to a site that states prisoners pick up the trash left by the drunk trash who only park on campus to drink and eat. I'm all for the parking increases. If the "fans" want to party during home games, yet don't have a ticket, throw a bash at your house and leave the trash there. If you ever seen what the campus at LSU looks like where those fans parked free?

Agree 100% with you, but you're not going to win an argument with people like that. They think they know wtf they're talking about because they read it on here ! I loved the tailgating last year, way less young kids with huge sound systems playing rap near us so loud that you couldn't here each other talk.

This statement couldn't be further from the truth. Quite simply, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

Go ahead and educate me. I need another good laugh after that first response you typed.

Gotta tell you that I wait for the traffic to clear in the haylots after every single game, and the trash there is non existent. We've been tailgating out there for more than 5 years. Never seen it be an issue.
I will say that the area between the South Stadium Parking Lots and Walk-Ons is an absolute DISASTER AREA after games. It's shocking and kinda sad/embarrassing. I think if you look at the age demographic of the specific tailgating areas, you figure out the problem. College aged and 20-something's might not like to hear it, but they are at least partly to blame for that area at least.

I understand the charges but why a jump from 40 to 75$? Campus has been trashed for years and everything seems to be picked up
If we are talking about more trash cans or porta johns I am all for it

I just wish they would call it what it is.
The university needs money and this is a easy way to raise it.
The raise in price has no effect on me or my tailgating
Sorry if offend you

Fact is you're an idiot if you think peoples tax dollars should go to supporting an athletic foundation. And don't give me the shite about "its a state sponsored university". State tax dollars should be focused on academic improvements not forcing state taxpayers to pay for athletic dept upgrades.
If they want to increase ticket or parking prices, go for it, I may not be able to afford it, but until people stop showing up, then TAF knows they have room to play with. You pay more to watch good football. Period.
You sound like a bleeding heart liberal. I know :poliboard:

Im glad my serious tailgating days are behind me instead of ahead of me.

The real reason for the increase is because TAF is trying to weed out the people who tailgate just for the fun of it. They aren't season ticket holders, nor do they attend the games because they don't even have a ticket. The cost of the trash collection has skyrocked since last year, and these fans leave one hell of a mess. After a game, the grounds at LSU look like hell, plus buildings near the stadium smell like piss. I live in Bama, but I belong to TAF. I knew this increase was coming a couple of months ago.
There is so much fail in this post, I don't even know where to begin.
What a fricking idiot.

I think it is funny that people spend hundreds of dollars per game on food, alcohol, and other tailgating supplies, but flip the frick out over another few hundred per year.

I could be wrong but I don't think quarterback stats are tied to parking prices.

Vincent can say and believe what he wants, but it certainly has toned down the tailgating the past few years. This will only make it worse. People will start "adjusting" by staying home altogether, like me.
It hurts LSU's tailgating reputation.

Day games, shite teams, higher prices.
It's all contributing.
I'll save money, make it to the one or two big games a year.
This is becoming a trend with many others too.
