Lsu always plays auburn close, always plays ole miss close, always plays arky close...but why? It's a totally different team each year and this year lsu was far superior to all 3 so why is that always the excuse made to mask a team playing down to competition....yes lsu won all 3 and I'm happy they did but just because "we always play them close" doesn't mean these games in this particular season should've come down to the wire. These were not top 10 teams...just can't understand why this team struggles to put away opponents under this coaching staff.

Good point! However, it is very difficult to argue about until they lose to these lesser teams. God forbid that ever happens b/c then Miles will surely be fired even though he is considered by most to be the best coach in LSU history. Close is good..... as long as you win!

And despite what ppl think lsu was not as talented under saban thus they were more on par with the competition. And I didn't say anything about saban so why is he even brought up. I don't give a shite what happened 8 years ago.

Like I said earlier to the guy that said ppl must not remember the 90's. I remember them well but those teams weren't this talented. Like I said I don't feel they underachieved by just looking at the record but with the talent recruited yes they probably did.

But why do u say this?...this IS NOT lsu of the 90's when the Florida states nebraskas and Miami and such were the powers of college football and had the most talented teams. This LSU team is arguably the most talented team in the country and is year in and out. If not at least top 5.

That seems to be the majority of the board right now. Comparing past decades of football to present day is fricking assinine.

I feel the same frustration. We are much better than these teams that seem to always play us close. My only counter to that argument is that it happens to every other team too.

Didn't say we were terrible did I?....You think we should have needed last minute defensive stands to beat Arky? Ole Miss? Don't think we are a better team than Florida?

I hear you tigerinthebayou, Wish I truly had an answere for this. For whatever reason, there has always been trouble after the Bama game, cant explain it . In fact someone should call in to Risher and ask about his Sr year when the team went 8=2=1. We finally beat the bear and then drop a turd on the field against Emory Bellard and John Bond in
Starkville and then come back and annihilate FSU in the fog only to lose to fricking Tulane 7 days later. Cant explain it. I can tell you that I dont like the scheduling after the Bama game having to play MSU, then Johnny Rebs and then the Hawgs. Dont guess we have any control over that but I hear your point, However I dont know if its just the Miles staff. Seems to have alwayse been a problem for Lsu during the stretch run. Just glad we won 3 out of 4 because all 3 of the last 3 games could have easily been losses.

Yeah it does. But its usually that one game they have to survive. Not a weekly thing. Except notre dame. But I don't believe they elite. Overrated I think. Maybe this lsu team just isn't as good as I try to think they are
