JJ or the OLine? OLine or JJ? It's the chicken and the egg. Guaranteed....this team will go as far as this chicken and egg can take them. Improvement by both, not just one, but both is the critical component to winning the West and beating the SEC East. If I had to pick one, as my life depended on it, I would pick OLine. If the OLine improves...then the running game improves...then JJ is given the opportunity to do some damage. Remember the Peach Bowl against GaTech? That OLine led a good running game, and JJ looked like THE FUTURE. So, the OLine is who I pick.

This. If I had to choose, it would be PP on defense and JJ on offense. Not so much about stepping it up this year, more to the tune of taking the leadership reigns and changing their mental state where JJ steps up and says...this is MY team and I'M going to lead them to the promised land.

I'd like to see some fire and an amped up 'D' that will overflow to the offense.

Nevis, followed by Barksdale. The rest will fall in place.

He could have a great year, but I don't think him having a great year is really a big deal with Randle and Shep also in a similar role. Randle could end up All American and TT fall off the map and it wouldn't be a big deal.

well it's his senior year and it's on him to play like the first round pick that he should be. He can be a huge asset for JJ

Besides the obvious answer (Jefferson), Longeran (sp??) and Nevis have to step up. It doesn't matter how great our athletes are, if our lines get dominated again, expect another long season.

With the exception of Patrick Peterson,

I would have to add Kelvin Sheppard - he had 110 tackles in 2009. There is always room for improvement, but I can't say he needs to "step up".

The good news is that the team is young and talented. The bad news is that the team is inexperienced and has underperformed the last couple of years.

Well if that happens, then obviously. But assuming no other reciever takes the leadership role and provides JJ a safe and reliable outlet in the passing game, we will be one dimensional again with a suspect running game and O-line. If our passing game doesn't succeed, we are doomed.
