our fans are awful. plain and simple.

I think these conditional fans are just digging hard and deep for something that isn't there. It's been my contention since '08 that LSU needed both Lee and JJ to be a "complete QB" simply because of the previous QB coach. I don't think this year is any different. Personally, I don't care if one is better than the other ...but I don't understand why it's so important to some people.
I agree with everything right there. we have awful fans. which is obvious.

JL needs to get his passes down, but way to many drops this year....A true freshman has stepped up though.

This is the main reason why last year every game was a struggle and this year every game has been a blowout.
The other quarterback's "skill set" does not offset the picks and sacks.

Not turning the ball over

But i thought that's why JJ was playing? Because he didn't turn the ball over

A dropped pass is not when Shepard has to jump out of his shoes to barely touch a ball soaring over his head like he had to do at least twice today.

Yeah, Shepard had a couple like that and OBJ had 1 where he tried to make a great play, and couldn't haul it in. Lee was not super accurate against Kentucky, but, even so, 5 or 6 very catchable balls that receivers got 2 hands on were not secured.

It's spread to the DBs - who have missed 3 to 5 easy interceptions over the last 2 games.

Bad pass or not if a reciever gets both hands on a ball it is his responsibility to catch it. Some were bad passes, no doubt about it and the only reason some were considered drops was because of the exceptional athleticism our recievers have. But if you can get to the ball you catch the ball, the cold hard truth is outside of beckham we are not blessed with sure handed recievers. Great athletes? Without a doubt. Good hands? Not even mediocre today

RR is sure handed.....he had a big drop against WV....but he is very good....lee needs to target him more instead of shep. shep hands...not so good.

Lee has obviously started stepping into every throw.

I disagree. His mechanics are much better, but, sometimes under pressure, he still tries those fades off his back foot falling away. Earlier in the season he caught a receiver in stride for a touchdown (great for him). However, his INT, and 2-3 "nearly" INTs this season were on throws I must consider regressions. A few of his other passes, both complete and incomplete, this season fall into that category. I only saw 1 against Kentucky.

Having said that - it's night and day compared to his freshman year. We saw flashes of his ability back then, but his mechanics and willingness to air the ball out into coverage were glaring. He's gotten better, though it still happens, at not staring down receivers and throwing into coverage.

outside of ODB and RR...this rec corps is underwhelming....you can say what you want...and there were much more drops in the oregon game...but still some yesterday for sure...not a great day for lee...his worst imo (look at the timing...hmmmm)....but all qb's have bad days....(Brady had 4 pics and a pic six the other day)...I love the way lee throws it away when it is not there...in the past he wanted to force it in there.....there are very few balls that can be intercepted by him this year....fact.

Even with the butter fingers yesterday, JL did NOT look good. His passes were rarely on the money.

He's completing 60% of his passes and averaging nearly 8 yards per attempt. Perhaps our standards are a wee bit unrealistic? This is a great line for anyone not named Andrew Luck.
