It was a piece of shite move by Miles. I don't think you'll find many other situations where a kid signs and is academically eligible and is given the boot after he's moved into his dorm a couple of days before practice starts
Then you "don't think" wrongly.

A lot of booms and trash talk yet still not one example of a school outside of the sec doing it to an eligible incoming freshman.
Nothing wrong with it but don't lie and say everybody does it.
Hey stupid. Did you not see the list that was posted TWICE?

When you put up things like "make me" or some other of the 893,392,203,924 other versions of internet badass jabber, you should expect to be laughed at.

I'm not going take an insult that I don't use logic, from a poster that didn't know the difference between ISU and Iowa.
Hey holdeye. YOU were the one yapping that we had to prove it went on outside the SEC. Now STFU.

Don't know who Holdeye is, but I have never once in this thread asked somebody to prove this type of thing happens outside of the SEC. Check your facts before you post. Trying to stay out of this thread and just read now, but have to keep jumping in to correct things.

Yet after nine pages there is not one link to a similar situation with an eligible incoming freshman being told he doesn't have a scholarship days before practice starts. I'll leave this thread so I don't hurt your feelings anymore. Over 24 hours, nearly 10 pages of trash talk, and not one link, but I'm sure it happens everywhere.

Was there not a list of about 20 Schools posted several times?
Perhaps if it was posted 31 unanswered times you'd see it?

That list does not represent what Grabo is asking for. That list only represents the number of schools that had signed over 25 kids in the past.

Yes, but 31 unanswered does! Geaux Tigers!!

Never heard of a team over signing before. Always wondered why teams can sign over 25 players a year even though you can only have 85 players on scholarship. Seems like an extremely shady thing to do.
you are wrong.
look at the rivals listing of 2010 recruiting.
read the numbers.
its commonplace.
if Zach Lee had signed with the Dodgers, LSU would have the exact correct number signed.

Why sign a player to a LOI that you plan on losing to the MLB draft? Shouldn't sign anybody that you don't think will be with the team in the fall. If you sign a player, you should have a spot for them.

You are reaching dude, give it a rest.
So no CFB team should ever offer a two sport super star because they may or may not be offered millions of dollars by MLB or the NBA (etc) to bypass college and they may or may not accept that multi-million dollar offer?
That is completely and utterly STUPID to even suggest.
LM had no way of knowing where he would be drafted or how much money he may or may not be offered.
Should Clemson have a contingency plan for their QB who may or may not go MLB?
Do you think these are the only two potential MLB prospects enrolled in major college football programs right now?
It's cool to come over and ask a legit question but you are clearly just flaming and REACHING to find fault with something your po-dunk program isn't good enough to have to worry about.

I'll answer your question with a question. Why do you carrying auto insurance since you don't think/plan to get into an accident?
The answer: 'Cause you are never 100% sure of what is going to happen...especially when you are talking about 18 year old kids.

Well yeah that too.
But I think you still got the point. You sign extra players in case others change their minds, God forbid they get into a car wreck (don't mean to be obsessed with car wreck, but since so many Iowa and OSU posts have been made on this thread my mind tends to wonder to things that remind me most of their seasons....like I said..a car wreck)

Saban has signed 110 in his first 4 years at Alabama.
LSU, in comparison the L4, has signed 105.

And this is exactly my argument. If you sign the right amount of players, then you don't have to worry if everybody qualifies and would actually hope everybody does. If somebody doesn't qualify or gets drafted or whatever else could happen, then you either offer somebody else a scholarship or bank it until next year.
A recruit should never be told that there isn't a scholarship that was promised to him days before fall practice.
