They're expecting the Offense to perform better with a month to scheme watching the film from the prior game. Still 40 might be a bit high.

Saban is the master of revenge games. It is undisputed fact that he has never lost a conference championship and a national championship game in the same season.

It's in NOLA. I think that should def count for something. Sure we always beat each other at each others house. But this is the NC. Much different.

BCS should start LSU- Bama sixth quarter (otherwise known as start of NC game) at 9-6 LSU. Least they can do if the first match (Game of Century) counts for anything. To give a team a mulligan, then on top of it say the whole previous 17 holes are irrelevant, so let's erase those too, is insanity.

if it's a home game (basically) for LSU, then Bama is probably 1.5 points better than US.

Add the three points to LSU for Home Field and you get LSU -1.5.

It's not going to be a true home game, not even close. I just hope we will have slightly more in the dome. Don't forget Bama fans will have a short drive as well to the big easy and they have a history of coming to New Orleans in droves in the past. Best case scenario that I can see is 60/40 LSU fans but more than likely it wil be more like 55/45 LSU fans or even less.

So what do you want him to do turn it down if it happens?

It isn't like he is the one putting them in the game. The polls are putting them in the game

-1.5 is due to special teams.

Typically, you don't get to play both unless you win the first. So I'm willing to guess it has never happened before because Florida, Oklahoma, Ohio St., or USC were always right there. This is an atypical year.

I see what you did.

now ESPN is titling "LSU Bama headed for National Championship", as if it's already in stone.

unreal.

The ratings were there during the last match up. The SEC is a big area and the West Coast is not needed for huge ratings. Has the West Coast even been relevant in NFL games the last few years (excluding Arizona)? I can see why they would be dis-interested. I would imagine the East Coast viewership will still be there. Pennsylvania and Ohio love defense. Maryland would also love defense. Virginia might also be partial to it.

bama had more 1st downs, more total yards, dominated passing yards (199-91), converted more first downs, and lost by just 1 field goal, when had we hit all our fieldgoals, the final score woulda been 18-6 bama...without overtime

Box Score
