Entering this game they were dropping back to throw 61% of the time on 1st downs. That was the 10th highest rate in the nation.

Breakdown in the 4 games prior
Kentucky: 13 runs, 17 passes (1 sack)
Auburn: 8 runs, 19 passes (2 sacks)
Miss St: 13 runs, 8 passes (1 sack)
C. Mich: 13 runs, 19 passes

Quite a drastic adjustment. Of course game situation dictates some of these calls, but it's encouraging to see the adaptation.

If we tackle bo nix behind the line of scrimmage one time, we win.

The emergence of Mashburn has made a world of difference for our running game. And putting Martinez at guard helped, too.

Not to be the negative voice of reason, but most coaching staffs figure out how to run BEFORE the season starts.

These other teams were stuffing the run. Florida didn't have a clue on how to stop LSU's trap game. That was the difference

Cool. A long history of analytics proves that in thw long term its best to throw on 1st down, but it needs to be easier throws than what we do
