Agree. Its foolish to believe you can remain static in the SEC and expect to retain your position.

Is this another ironclad Choctaw prognostication, like when you projected that Alabama was going to lose one its final three games this season?

(I'm just giving you a hard time, man. I certainly hope we finish in the Top 5 next year.)

This is also a team that just like us played it very close against Ole Miss, had La Tech give them all they can handle and looked putrid for nearly 3 full quarters once we figured them out. They are losing a lot of KEY, not just players, but Key players like Moore, Joeckel and JF's favorite target Swope. And as far as Oklahoma, even Notre Dame beat the breaks off of them.

A&M should be around 5 or 6, Florida around 14,15 with us cause their offense stinks as well and they lost a bunch. Georgia is gonna be real good and of course Alabama should be no 1.

I don't know how notre dame proved they are title contenders. Their schedule proved to be a joke, that's about it.

LSU is more talented than the 14th ranked team but sometimes they play like they shouldnt even be in the top 25
Theories on this phenomenon?

Because they were the only FBS to not lose a game. How do you argue to keep the only undefeated team in FBS out of the National Championship.

I don't get why people continue to say this. They were tied until 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter. ND threw up 10 points off of OU turnovers in the final 4 minutes of the game. The final score does not in any way reflect the actual competitiveness of that game.

GREAT! If we win the games against ranked teams above, we will be #1 without argument. Our destiny is in our hands. Les better get the offense more productive and the young D will need to mature quickly.

This is where LSU belongs and everyone should be happy about this. LSU is a program that plays best when no one is expecting anything from then.

For the past decade its pretty much been that way for every SEC team. Auburn came out of nowhere and won an NC by beating those SEC teams ranked so highly. A&M is being viewed as a serious contender because of their accomplishments in the SEC. No other conference offers what the SEC offers to teams not on the preseason radar.

Notre Dame will never play football as part of a conference. To the people of South Bend having Notre dame join a conference is tantamount to the pope joining a parish church.

You mean like 2011 when we were ranked #1 for practically the entire season playing the most difficult schedule including beating the #2 team in their home stadium?

well he's from the Sumlin/Holgorsen coaching tree so I doubt he'll be too far outside their way of doing things. and that he goes for both the guy they apparently promoted to co-OC who called the bowl and the other co-OC who they brought from WVU. ultimately it's Sumlin's offense anyway.
