Bottom line...Les Miles owns his opponents in bowl games!

when was this like the 1970s? they can't match up to Trindon Holliday or russell sheppard
They seem to do pretty well against Tennessee a couple of years back. Also, I'm just wondering if you've watched the that "weak PAC10" team rack up like 450 yards of offense on our "speed".

If a team is not Alabama or Florida they do not match up to LSU to some fans.
Forget the fact that Penn State is probably more physical than LSU, has a better head coach, a creative offensive coordinator, and probably and this one can be argued, a better defensive coordinator.
Of course to some no conference compares to the SEC, even though this has been a down year for the conference in general as most teams are 7-5.
Les Miles you give him his credit he is undefeated in bowl games, yet we all know that streak will end one day.

I'd take Joe Pa over Les today given the chance

No brain fart, been studying for finals and meant LSU not Florida in my post

I'll let you slide this one time. This argument is dumb anyway because I believe we will be playing Iowa in Orlando.

Who knows, lots of speculation.... I would love to play Penn State, I have already seen LSU vs Iowa once.

me too but I think Penn State gets the BCS nod.
Posted on 12/4/09 at 12:58 am to Elleshoe
Hell, people on rant still think LSU has a shot at BCS

It was an awesome trip when we went, New Years Eve we went with some friends who were in Tiger Band at went to some local clubs. Then we went to Disney and saw some concerts they had there, was much better than normal New Years Eve in Baton Rouge or New Orleans.

i was a soph in Tiger Band that year.

Big X is like the CFL to the SEC's NFL.
Then again, Alabama Sugar Bowl 2008, whaddup.

In the past 4/5 seasons doesn't the Big 10 have a winning record in bowl games against SEC schools, or at least .500?
So to say they are that much lower is rather ludicrous...
he two conferences have now split the past 20 games between the Big Ten & SEC 10-10
Only thing I found in my short search that would indicate bowl games.
Last year it was 1-1 SEC vs Big 10

SEC > Big 12 > Big 10 > Pac 10 > ACC > Big East

The Capital One Bowl is a tricky matchup for the SEC. The Big 10 plays the SEC extremely well there, so people saying we have a good matchup against a fat, slow Big 10 team are wrong.
