LSU NET now at 17 after MSU win...

So if the season ended today we'd be a 5 seed?

Not necessarily. The NET is just one part of the criteria being looked at by the committee. Ultimately they will look at total resume, which will consist of NET ranking, quadrant records, and other metrics to determine who gets in and seeding.
So if you went off straight NET, then yes, LSU would be a 5 seed currently. But it is possible for another team to have a higher NET ranking, but not have as good of a Quad 1 or 2 record as a lower ranked team might, and therefore maybe not as deserving of the higher seed.

We need a big win (Kentucky or Tennessee) to have a realistic shot at a top 4 seed IMO.
