I'm kind of getting sick of all the talk about how we weren't prepared for Newton. Fact is Newton is really good. We held Auburn's high powered Offense to 24pts and we made more than enough stops in the game.

Our offense just did not make enough plays to win the game. Period the end. We lost to a better team on the road.

They kneeled on the 3, they missed a FG and had it not been for our punter would have hung 50 on us. What about that are you to dumb to understand?

This and WAY too many 3-and-outs. The D was on the field almost all 2nd half. It's not the D's fault for the 24 points entirely.

This offense is not going to win championships in the SEC.

Most people had seen this.

But chins up, everyone! Mediocrity isn't so bad, is it?

I'm on board with this. If the offense could have sustained a few 2nd half drives and at least get us into FG range we could've won that fricking game even with the same defensive performance.

The offense was horrible, but the D was just as shitty.

Unfortunately, LSU employed the "3-and-out" strategy on offense, keeping the defense on the field. This doesn't help matters when playing against an offense that puts up many points per game.

Yeah dumb frick, but if we don't have so many 3 and outs their offense wouldn't have even been on the fricking field.

yes they kneeled on the three, after we were forced to go for it on our own half of the field...that's a wash because any other time of a game we would have punted and they wouldn't have been in scoring position like that

bullshite. We lost to a better PLAYER. That's it. Chizik almost coached himself out of that game a few times when he took the ball out of Newton's hands.

So one loss to the #1 team in the nation is mediocrity? Wow.

I'm not arguing that our offense sucked, but it's sucked all year.

The defense was horrible. Cam with over 12 yds per carry. GTFO with it was all the offense's fault. They didn't help, but still no excuse for such abysmal defending.

Certainly not any dumber than you are for trying to make him look dumb. The offense produced how many 3 and outs in the second half with outstanding field position. The defense got worn out, tired defenses get out of position. All he is saying with some help from an inpet offense we win and I agree, we did not get blown out. The offense could only manane one score while playing the whole fricking half starting from the 5o yard line damn near.

They were coached well enough to have that game 17-17 late into the 4th quarter. Chizik didn't do anything special except let the best football player in the country control the game. And he almost fricked that up. However, I do think Miles is a dumb arse so.....

Brags, I'll give them that one since we pinned them inside their 10 all game.

For some reason it seems like the D is getting a lot of the blame for the outcome of the AU game. Actually, the D contained Cam pretty well and made enough stops as the title of the OP says. CLM has focused on the D's unpreparedness. IMO, that is just a smoke screen to get us to forget how crappy the offense was, is, and probably will be for the rest of this season with him and GC running it. Turnovers, 3 and outs, and non-productive drives in general are why LSU did not win this game. The D did what it could - AU and Newton are a really good team. The O dropped the ball again.

The LSU offense drags the entire team down. I'm not sure why people don't understand the frustration.

If LSU had a #40 offense, LSU would compete for a NC.

The special teams and D are legit.

But the offense has been ranked near the bottom for years now, with top talent. Not sure why people can't see this as a significant problem.

So LSU is 7-1. That's a good record. Keep in mind LSU has to play Alabama, Ole Miss and Arkansas.

Many are worried about Alabama and Arkansas. I'm concerned with Ole Miss just as much.

Yes or No. Are LSU's players better coached than Auburn's players????????
