The defense has been very impressive giving up only 3 points in the last 6 quarters.

I am still worried that our lack of depth is going to bite us in the arse as we face a brutal SEC schedule. All things considered it looks like we are heading in the right direction and as we recruit well we will get back to winning big games consistently.

Next year and the year after that we will be very good.

Yeah, beating New Mexico doesn’t really mean all that much

You did what you could do. The defense sans 1 missed assignment played as well as you could possibly hope. With starters out of the game, that's almost unfathomable.

On offense, you put up a ton of yards, but there is still a good bit to clean up there. Only 38 points to show for it.Not that that's a bad thing especially considering your backup QB played a majority of the snaps, I believe. I haven't seen a snap count breakdown.

Special teams, they look better than week 1, so there's progression there, but not much. This is where you would expect the attrition that has happened to take effect, and it has. Special teams might be a weak spot until we have 85 LSU level players.

My big concern is still LSU's running game, but have faith they'll get better.

The improvements each week is a sign of good coaching. The lack of improvements on special teams though is a sign of bad coaching. Hopefully Polian is gone this offseason or at least moved into a different role.
