My wife actually works for the state and you have to have X number of pre-sold tags to get them going. If they ever drop below that number they will kill them off. LSU simply hasnt had enough requests and I dont that they ever will considering that there isnt a big contingent of LSU alums in Alabama. I doubt there is many Bama alums in LA. Now Texas, I'm sure LSU has a tag there. HUGE concentration of LSU alums there and its no problem. MSU, Ole miss will both have tags soon.
Its not a hate LSU thing. We like the money.
Honestly, Yes I'mnot a fan of LSU but I dont have a problem with them either. Want to twin the game but want to win all games. I can tell you this, there is a game on your schedule every year where I am the biggest LSU fan walking. I actually wear LSU gear (a gold t-shirt from Warren Capones Linebackers if you remember that place or an authentic purple jersey, wanted a white one but... given to me by a former LSU player) for that game just to get under their skin. My wife does also. I can also tell you I am a huge LSU fan tonight. We actually went to an LSU -AU game one year both decked out in Tigers gear. LSU lost on a guy falling on the snapper call late in the game. Anyway, get those sigs in and you will get a tag. Now go beat UK.

The state of Alabama does allow out of state schools license plate. The law was changed in 2014 you can thank Mississippi st they got it changed. We are currently finishing up the paper work for a UGA tag here in Bama. If you want a LSU tag in bama you will have to get your alumni association in Baton rouge to process the application and design a tag. Once that is done you have one year from the time the LSU plate is posted on the Alabama dmv to get the 1000 pre commits needed to have the plates made. Not true we have a UGA tag campaign currently underway so does FSU. Ole Miss and Miss ST. Were the first to get them in 2015
