I must admit this skit was so tedious that it was all I could manage to get to the hats entrance before I turned it off mid-vid.
What ever did you see there that might remotely be considered one of SNL's best??

The Maine Justice skit is awesome. One of my favorites of all time. I get why some don't like it, but it just cracks me up.

When this skit aired, there were a few popular reality shows that took place in Louisiana and many others took place in the South.

I think the idea was that all the interesting (and popular) reality shows seemed to have elements of Louisiana or the South. So what area would be least likely to exhibit "Stereotypical Louisiana/Southern attributes"?
Maine.
So it's funny because it's a show about Maine but all of the people and references and stories are about Louisiana and the South.
I love it.
