Interesting you make that comparison that because it was the science from the "scientist" of the time who said the earth was flat.

Yeah it was scientist leading the Roman Inquisition.

Galileo was really getting his ideas out down by mainstream scientist and not like, the Catholic Church.

According to "science" none of this should be going on, this was all solved last year.

Anyone that is promoting or implying this 85% vaccination rate makes sense on any level, well... you might as well call it a religion because that is what it is.

Basically, most of what is going on now, isn't science. Its religion, as soon as you question the "science"... science can't be questioned.

The Church were the scientists of their day, they couldn't be questioned. Today we have a whole new group of scientists that wear lab coats. As soon as you question the "science", up on the burning cross you go... just in a different way.

That’s what people say when they’ve done nothing to actually refute large amounts of evidence and got shite on for doing it.

Exactly what the Church would say, you deny all the large amounts of evidence that God exists and the Earth is flat.

Like Covidians. YOu don't think at all, you rely on others for your opinions.

And the brilliant posters like you rely literally on whatever handful of doctors tell you exactly what you want to hear because you don’t have options and no one what’s to know what YOU think.

The one thing I know For sure is 90% of people on the PT board cannot understand a scientific study.

Why do you have to rely on doctors or selected amount of doctors? Most of this is so horribly done even someone that spends 5 minutes on it can easily see the absurdity of it. Let me give you an example.

Remember when the rona first came into the news, say end of February or early March. Everyone and their mother including "doctors", were screaming, "we need more vents"?

Was that based on science?

No, it was a lie and religious bots probably like yourself took it as holy text.

What really happened, is by late February 2020, data was coming from China about death rates of people being put on the vents. The death rate was around 98%. That means the person died right there in the hospital, let alone survived a month out of the hospital. More or less a 0% effective rate.

Now, they built all these vents which basically means your dead for no fricking reason. Now the rates in the US are higher, last time I check like 90-95% (or more like lower). However, that is only rate for dying right then... the chances of those people living outside of the hospital for even a few months were more or less near zero.

Its a religion.

I can show you all kinds of evidence that the Earth is flat, its a different story actually able to defend the evidence under questioning.

Evidence != Proof

You’re confusing “science” with your opinions

Are you trying to say because Vents didn’t have a higher success rate they should have just written everyone who needed one off as a lost cause and thus we didn’t need the vents because we should have just let them die?

If you use Math i.e. Science than yes, you certainly don't build 100,000s of them for something that isn't going to work.

Why not just bleed the demon from them? We can't just let them die. Same thing.

The alternative being?

Just let them die?

This isn't a matter of belief. Either it works or it doesn't. The fact that it works is beyond question.

In most cases, yes. There are many diseases and infliction that are not treatable. Once you are put on a vent with this, you're dead. Even if you make it off the vent the chances of you surviving outside the hospital is not going to be much of anything.

People die, not sure what your point is. People die whether we allow them or not.

This is where it actually becomes nonsense. Science cannot tell you if it’s right or wrong to not try and save someone if your only have a low chance of actually saving them. That’s ethics.

Science can tell you if it’s efficient
Science can tell you if there are better ways of treating people once they can no longer breath on their own.
Science cannot tell you it it’s right or wrong to not even try.

My point is, you want to accuse people of worshiping science as a religion and not actual evidence when you’re bringing this bullshite to the table.

Save that shite for your freshmen philosophy class.

Yep, ask Vandy and North Carolina State how huge. I hate that the team all stuck themselves with an experimental drug but at least they get to play football.

Yes it does, if the treatment is not efficient the doctor isn't going to do it, matter of fact. The insurance company probably won't even authorize it.

You don't spend billions of dollar on a solution that might result in 1 in a million saves, you certainly don't have government crying "more vents".

Could bloodletting work? Sure, if the patient believes it will work... it could be a placebo effect. You don't see people using bloodletting against the rona, why? Its stupid.

It never made sense to make more vents, it was a death sentence. My guess is you have warehouses of stupid vents that have not nor will ever be used.

What you are talking about is miracles i.e. religion.

This is one of the worst posts I’ve ever read, and I’ve read Holocaust denying threads.

If the alternative is “letting them die” then the treatment becomes the most effective treatment. Doctors will do it, and in an emergency setting they aren’t asking an insurance company (hope you’re a universal healthcare guy with that articulate about insurance companies)

By your own statistics it’s not 1 in a million it’s and where between 2-10 in 100. That’s 90-98%. You’re now trying to claim it has a 99.9999% mortality rate.

quote:

Because you need your blood, just like you need oxygen.

Do you think the vents themselves were killing people? Or do you think having a severe case of Covid was a death sentence and going on a vent was a last ditch effort? Even if it’s a low percentage treatment, if it’s the best treatment it is going to be used.
