Both JJ & JL came out of high school as pro style QBs but Crowton decided this year and last that he would run a spread option.

I dont think you know what a pro style offense is. Jefferson did not come from a pro style system in HS

Lee sure as hell didn't run pro-style in high school.

Totally agree with this and with OP's comments. FWIW, Sports2 reported some interesting comments from Crowton today. Check it out:

First off, LSU has no identity on offense. There is no scheme, there is only pieces of a whole lot of bullshite thrown together

We run the option, (short side only) the I formation, ( only on first down ) , and last but not least, the occasional quick pass that's three yards over the head of the nearest receiver.

Tell me what that is?

And like what the other guy said, its going to be funny how they frick up Mett next year if Crowton stays. You'll see the truth next year believe me. Your eyes will be wide open then.

The Pro-style scheme would help JJ out, but he still wouldn't be that successful because his accuracy is sub par. Lee as well. Watching them in pregame when every receiver is running the same route, they still were making bad throws. Inconsistent. Those days are over soon.

What's funny is that everything you say is true, and you guys all try to hang it on Gary Crowton as if this is not Les Miles football team. Les is the head coach, he either allows this to continue or is partly responsible for it. He doesn't get off the hook that easily. Yes, I agree Crowton sucks and needs to go to, but to absolve Les from all the responsibility is simply ignoring the root of the problem and allowing Les to get off scott free and blame the coordinators for all of our problems.

Agreed. What I would like to know is what will the Rant say when this shite OC who works for the greatest coach in college football and with the worst QB in D1 is in the exact same position one year from now? Will you still blame Crowton and JJ?
