There you go again. UNC won't even make the NIT tourney this year. LSU is coming off a championship with another championship caliber team, insulting comparison you made there.

LSU has top 5 talent, top 5 coaching, and is the defending national champions. To say "LSU getting pressure for best team in state" before such a team even loses a single game is retarded.

Slightly different, we didn't lose all our playmakers. Bottom line, no one is LA can touch us in a series. You can't honestly think SELU could. I'm glad for yall doing well, but don't get cocky.

Great for SLU! After LSU, SLU, McNeese, ULM and NSU are the instate schools that I pull for. Why rag on SLU?...good for them.....I have many friends who went to SLU who are die hard Tiger fans FIRST! ...and like me, they pull for SLU except when they play LSU. Any of those four instate schools and their fans respect LSU. They don't want to be LSU...but if they do beat the Tigers, it is a big thing for their players and fans. I can respect that! Now, Tulane, ULLaugh and LTech think that they ARE LSU! Totally different story. Those three can burn in hell for all I care.

To be fair, LSU hasn't looked very good so far. After the McNeese game, I would think SLU stood a chance against LSU RIGHT NOW. In May...

yeah....that doesn't really work considering DUKE is in North Carolina and, if not mistaken, is and has been good at basketball for a long time.

SLU might win 1 out of 10 against LSU. I agree that SLU may be better than usual but they are not pushing LSU for best team in the state.

For those who say selu is not as good as lsu have not seen both play.I have seen lsu(3 times) and selu(2 times which I go to school there). I watch a game where lsu payed teams that were not very good and won close games. I watched selu beat two pitchers who will be top ten round pucks. It is early but SO FAR selu has look just as good as lsu. Go lions

SELU is as good as LSU when they are the at the top of thier game and LSU is at the bottom of their game, SELU would have no chance if they played us when we where peaking

I would rather see SLU than Ole Miss go to Omaha! Besides give SLU props for not changing their name like some other schools in Louisiana and for not trying to be something they are not.

I think a better title for the thread would be:

SELA is playing themselves into the 2nd best team in the state of LA.
