We are staying in the capital area with no car, which of these places is the most convenient for us.
They are all metro accessible.
To get to 18th Amendment:
Take the Blue or Orange line to Eastern Market station (corner of Pennsylvania and 7th Southeast). Go across 7th Street, walk up Pennsylvania (toward 6th) about 3/4ths of a block, 18th Amendment is on the left.
To get to Bailey's:
Take the Orange line to Ballston station. From the station exit (next to Ruby Tuesday's), walk approximately one block south to Ballston Commons Mall. Bailey's is on the ground level at the extreme eastern end (to the left as you enter the mall coming from the Metro station).
To get to Crystal City Sports Pub:
Take the Yellow or Blue line to Crystal City Station. Exiting the station, go through the underground mall (forget the name of it, but the entrance to it is in the metro station right by the exit). Walk the entire length of the mall, following the signs toward 23rd Street (takes about 8-10 minutes). At the other end of the mall, you will exit on 23rd Street. Turn right and walk about 1-1.5 blocks, just across Jefferson Davis highway. Crystal City Sports Pub is on the right.
If you're taking a cab, then it depends on where you are staying. If in Northern Virginia, then probably Bailey's or Crystal City will be the cheapest fare. If in the District, then 18th Amendment will probably be the cheapest fare. If I'm remembering correctly, from downtown DC to Ballston (where Bailey's is) is about a $15 ride. Crystal City is probably closer to $25 or $30 from downtown DC. Also, I think the maximum fare between any two points within the District is $19, although there may be additional charges for extra passengers or "temporary" authorized fuel surcharges.
Metro is the best way to get around in DC, unless you are going somewhere that doesn't have access nearby.
Also, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) has a website with a trip planner that allows you to enter a starting address and a destination address, and it will give you detailed instructions on how to get there using Metro. Here is the link to the trip planner:

The problem is your priorities are all out of wack. LSU should ALWAYS come before the Saints!
I agree, especially since I was refugeed for the App State game. My arse misses my seats in Tiger Stadium.

FYI the food is not particularly good at either place...
