I would hope so, he was running the Wishbone.
Lost to this guy 4 straight years. I remember when we played them in Jackson and Bama and Ole Miss played after us.

Another last play TD pass - Bert Jones to Andy Hamilton - Notre Dame 1971

That was great. LSU had the game won and still went for the TD at the end.

Ara said he would never bring another ND team to Tiger Stadium.

Yeah, loved it! Remember watching that on TV as a HS student but that was not the last play, was .26tics and ND ran a few plays after to run out the clock!

He did indeed.

SB XXVII: 4-14, 97 YDS, 1 TD, 1 INT

'Twas the strike-shortened season of '82 that found David Woodley and the Miami Dolphins in the Super Bowl. At the time, Woodley became the youngest quarterback in NFL history to start a Super Bowl. The inexperienced quarterback started off hot, but went 0-8 passing in the second half. The Dolphins lost 27-17 to Washington, Woodley never made it back to the Super Bowl, and he's one of two quarterbacks in NFL history to have a career winning percentage over .600 while also throwing at least 10 more interceptions than touchdowns.

Also, half way through the next season Woodley would be benched in favor of a rookie QB. Where was the game being played when he was benched, and who was the rookie that took over?

Winner, winner...

I remember listening to the game in my dorm room in Tiger Stadium as a freshman. Woodley was jobbed.

MetryTiger,
I'll take a shot at the last one. Ole Miss, way back(the slow clock game) and Auburn a couple of years ago that saved Miles poor time management.

LSU had to kickoff after that TD VS auburn so there was time left on the clock after that TD.

LSU VS ole miss. Bert Jones hits Brad Davis for game tying TD and kicker kicked the winning PAT with 0:00 showing on the clock.

Blue Grass Miracle VS KY

LSU Football Trivia

The Ole Miss game is correct - 1972 17-16

And just a little aside about that 2007 Auburn game. Miles was going to kick the FG after one more play (ostensibly a run), but DByrd convinced him that he could beat his man.
Also, Flynn took WAAAAAYYY too much time to snap the ball, THAT is why Byrd caught the ball with 3 seconds left. Had Flynn snapped the ball right after going up to the line, there would have been 8 or maybe 9 seconds left after the pass to Byrd.

Also, the stadium clock keeper accidentally let the clock run out after Byrd caught the winning TD pass. But in actuality, there were 3 seconds left, which the officials put back on the clock.

Hence, Auburn still had one more shot after the kickoff by LSU, but they didn't do anything.

Other last play TDs mentioned:
Bluegrass Miracle vs Kentucky - also in 2007
LSU-Notre Dame 1971 (edit - I stand corrected, post above says ND ran a few plays.)
