fwiw, this is a fantasy.
So is any comment on how anything will turn out this year. But as fantasies go, it's not completely beyond reason. That's exactly what would have happened at Georgia if our defense had been able to stop the Dawgs.

1) it doesnt equate... I have been the supreme alah in promoting that he will improve and have never said nor incinuated that it has any neg effect on JJ's progression WHATSO FUKING EVER,,, YOu made that up chief...BTW "JJ improved every week" really??? what was that in those last two of the season??? awesome comparison.

2)

well sport, to think Jlee is gonna improve soooooo much and win the job over a stagnet(improving) JJ is fricking stupid Chief. Don't get ahead of yourself Hauss.

I have no idea how much or how little JL or JJ will improve... neither do you HOSS.

You are right dude, JJ did terrible against ark. How many points did lsu put up the first half????
Plenty enough frickin points to win you frickin tard, the defense/defensive coaches are to blame for not being able to frickin hold a big lead against ARK

I guess Jlee would of single handedly beaten a better ole miss team, and threw no picks against ark and ga tech and fufilled your jlee as the starter fantasies

at that point, jarrett lee was averaging one pick six a game, for 6 straight games.

he almost threw another one in the short time he played against ole miss.

it was pretty painful to watch.

hell, even hatch did well against the LSU defense in practice last season.
And that was indeed a sign of things to come. Unfortunately, not the sign we hoped it would be.

So if you photoshop that pic and change there jerseys u mean to tell me you could tell the difference
Shepard is closer in that picture, and Jefferson still looks taller.

This is the Lee supporter's worst nightmare of a statement, coming from you, K.J.
Anyone who feels Jefferson progressing as much as Herb did is a "nightmare" would have need to be shot for calling themselves a Tiger fan. I haven't seen anybody in any of these discussions suggest that they wouldn't be thrilled if that happened.

had LSU been able to borrow florida's defense in the 2008 season, they might have won all their games.
Probably would have, I believe.

Our defense will be a different story this year, if you watch some of chavis' games he dictates and confuses the offense, a total 180 from what mall/peveto did, chavis shifts the line around pre-snap almost every play and stunts almost every play, and his defenses were always very well schooled and disguised things very good.

If I were the type to worry about things in the off-season, this would be far and away my biggest worry. Who we start at QB is a distant, distant 2nd (if that) to whether or not we fix our defensive problems. If our defense plays like it should, I believe we have about 4 QBs on the roster that could lead us to at least 9 or 10 wins. If our defense plays like it did last year, we may not have one.

My nephews live in Texas and compare Lee with the Texas QB. Cody. Cody was a heckuva better qb last year than year before. Lee looks to be on a similar path.

I like JL. I think most here would agree he throws a pretty pass and has the best arm on the team, but the bottom line is that he doesn't seem to have many of the things that can't be taught that a QB needs to have (i.e. seeing the field, feeling the pocket, knowing when to throw the ball, etc). There is little doubt from watching JL and JJ in games that JJ has 10 times more confidence and a feel for the game that JL will probably never have.
Agreed that we have only seen a game and a half from JJ (coaches shut him down the second half of the Ark game). But we have also seen most of a season and a QB with two full camps under him make some really bad decisions and throws. Hope all the changes, but I don't see JJ have poor performance on the field, so I don't see JL starting unless JJ gets hurt. And with a full camp under JJ's belt, he will be even 10 times better.

LSU Football Practice Report 3/14/09:
I am a little amazed at all of the people being criticized for pointing out the obvious with JL. You can make all of the excuses that you want, poor play calling, he's a freshman, no one tackled the returner, we ran different plays with JL compared to JJ ... blah blah blah, yada yada yada... whatever makes you feel better at night.

Our defense gave up more points than any D in several years yet the discussion of LSU footbal practice always gets hung up on the mistakes of a "freshman" quarterback.

What ever makes you feel good.

I have personally made mention to what you just typed several times... its amzaing how people (JL haters) ignore this FACT.
