LSU FANS....

I am a Longtime LSU fan..from Mississippi...and have been to several games at LSU...and I always stay in my seat until I see 4 zero's on the scoreboard...For those of you fortunate enough to get tickets to a game....no matter what the scoreboard says....support your team and STAY YOUR arse IN YOUR SEAT FOR THE ENTIRE GAME....People claiming they are fans...and leave a the half...when LSU is beating a team convincingly....that is sad....Give your tickets to a real LSU fan who will stay for the ENTIRE GAME.....

Girls don't want to hear this and will make your life tougher if you insist on staying to watch us score a few extra touchdowns on a hapless and obviously overmatched opponent.

There was no fortune about me being there last night. Just showed up and negotiated ticket prices on the street. My 7 year old fell asleep in the second quarter, my wife at halftime, and my 9 year old was fading in the third. And you think I should have STAYED MY arse IN MY SEAT?
ETA: Without them I stay the whole game. I was there until the end vs Troy 2008.

I get there early and stay until the team sings the alma mater, so I agree with the sentiment.
The reality of sports though is that half of the stadium is filled with fans. Half is filled with people who go for the event. No way around that.
I do get discouraged with the people in the 100s. Last to arrive. First to leave.

While I agree with you, understand that games like this are easier to get tickets for and a lot of people who usually wouldnt go due to price or availability can get tickets for cheap or free from friends. I witnessed several people who had either never been in Tiger Stadium or hadnt been in years. They all left after halftime because it was a social time for them, not a love for LSU. One guy turned and asked me who was playing QB tonight. Then when Mettenberger came in he told his girlfriend he has never heard of this guy and they could leave. This is on the 50 yard line.
While its hard to accept, LSU just doesnt have as many "die hard" fans as youd expect. Look at all the females there. How many of them do you think actually want to be there the entire game? Not many. Most of them convince the guys who bring them to leave early. Others just simply dont care as much as we would like them to and going to the game is a "neat experience" rather than a tradition.

Maybe when the country becomes Communist you can make this a law. Fortunately for me this is still America. We left with 4:00 last night because we had to drive make to Mandeville last night to be at church at 8:30 this morning because one of our daughters was singing in the 9/11 remembrance service. God/country/ LSU in that order. People like you and Mr Obama would like to change that.

some people will use any excuse to leave early.

Dude,
Give that old argument a rest. People have a right to leave when they want. Just as it's your right to bitch about it. Nuff said.

relax, man. i once was told by herb tyler that the teams goal every year was to empty the seats.

Oh great the seat police. Why don't you get with LSU and start charging extra fees to the seats that have people leave a game early. You could probably install sensors in all the seats that way you would know exactly when they left and how much to charge. They could probably reduce the new parking fees with this early exit charge. The university will thank you and probably put a statue of you next to Shaq. Congrats

Uh, not all girls want to leave early. I would never leave until the team leaves the field.
I'm in Florida and can't go to games anymore, but when I get the chance, I will stay to the very end.

I stayed all the way to the Alma Mater but people leaving a game last night is cool. Now leaing early in a big game, those people can go play in traffic.
What is stupid is the people who come to the game and don't even look at the field. Just talk the whole time.
Ah well, what are you gonna do?

maybe you can get Obama to penalize those that choose to leave early.
Maybe just a mandatory $75 fine to everyone....you know spread it around
