The application for the tags does not state anything about what cannot be a tag and what can be a tag. I have not found in the state law where the quote was from the state law can I get a link?

After rereading your response is looks like the state does not want money going out of state to other universities. What if the tax money went to the Alabama education fund which is needing money?

Stay with trying to get the tags approved--it took us five months and a lot of work, but our first Texas LSU Geaux Tigers plates were mailed this week making LSU the only out of state school with it's own Texas tags. Hell yes, we're proud.
