Texas State waters extend for 12 miles when it comes to oil royalties, all other states are limited to 3.

It's a welfare state

Until a decade or so ago, only the Mississippi schools had smaller endowments than LSU. I think they have passed us too. We have come a long way but the alumni giving is very low compared to peer institutions.

this is true of every athletics department.

Most generate a good portion of their budget from boosters.

Right now, the money folks are stuck. They give X amount of dollars. The part the AD’s don’t like. If they are giving to NIL, they are taking that money away from the athletic department. They are still giving the same total amount, just that some of it is going to NIL. More Athletic Departments around the US are going into the red. LSU has been very fortunate, they have managed well. One person took care of a buyout, didn’t cost LSU anything.

Endowment does not look good for LSU. One of the lowest if not the lowest in the Power 5. Tulane has more endowment

Texas anm is owned by Qatar.

New reports claim Texas A&M and other universities receive funding from Qatar with questionable contracts that give the country rights to the university's research. The report suggests that Qatar owns all of the intellectual property from school research at Texas A&M, including nuclear, cybersecurity and robotics. Charles Asher Small, executive director at the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy, joins "NewsNation Prime" to discuss the report, saying the relationship with Qatar poses a "very serious security risk."

In the same article he thinks Dale Brown deserves a statue All his paper has done is discredit LSU at every turn because he thinks his buddy Dale was mistreated Get over it and he doesn't deserve a statue

Tell me you weren’t around for Dale Brown’s tenure without telling me that you weren’t around for Dale Brown’s tenure.

The man absolutely deserves his name on the court and absolutely deserves a statue right next to the one of that kid he brought to LSU to play for him.
