Believe me or not, just because the NET and RPI has us in the top 50 doesnt mean shite. You usually have 4 or 5 2nd seeds from mid american conferences that come in and steal seats from the majors. Unless you can show upside after a 4 out of 5 lost span, your team will remain on the bubble.

Except you know NET is what the committee uses... and LSU is top 30 not 50, massive difference

My God what a whiny post. Virginia lost to a fricking 16 seed. Michigan State, Georgetown, Mizzou have all been bounced by 15 seeds within the past decade. Wtf does an upset in ‘05 have to do with anything?

Also...UAB was a 11 seed

I’d rather not see LSU get beat by 15 by a mid major because they can’t guard a roll of Charmin. Someone else brought up 05-06

In this thread alone you’ve said “get a decent seat” and a team from a “mid American conference”

It’s “seed” and “mid major”

I think LSU is almost a lock. The schedule is manageable the rest of the way. South Carolina, Texas A&M, Arkansas, & UGA should be winnable games. Plus depending on how the conference tournament plays out. I think we are fine

This was a compete mismatch. Kent has 7 legit studs at all positions. We’ve got three guys who can play for anybody in league and then it’s slim. Next year will be much deeper and more well rounded

Thank you for your opinion. I simply believe otherwise, especially with the remaining schedule. UGA and South Carolina should be easy wins but nothing in the SEC is guaranteed. 1 more loss and we possibly move to 5th.

If we move to 5th are we on the bubble? Just a question?

You ALWAYS take a trip to the dance over not making it.

And if you are a 2 seed and lose to a 15, it probably means you are a conference tourney champ or regular season champ.

The difference in 29th and 30th in NET and RPI compared to being a top 50 bubble team (like you said) is 20 or 21 spots. I can tell you're slow by your posts, but now I've noticed you can't even follow what you said two posts ago. Maybe it's time you slow down on the paint you've been sniffing, or just don't get into arguments about tournament seeding.

I meant top 30 and top 50 are very different... one is almost certainly in the dance, one is a maybe bubble team

Man must be nice to be so spoiled as a fan that we're thumbing our noses at back to back tournament appearances (which hasn't happened since 05-06 I believe)

Wow, such high aspirations

Gotta walk before you can run... start making the dance consistently and eventually things will fall in place at some point to make a deep run or win the damn thing
