Defend against the short playaction routes. Bama's gonna use a lot of out routes and short dump off screens to the TE's for YAC, they have to be weary of that. The D line is gonna have to get pressure because once they approach mid field they like to run slow developing crossing routes and deep flag routes.

18 TDs with ZERO INTs in 2012

Guess his feet are happy b/c they are always running to the endzone to celebrate another TD.

His stats (zero interceptions) mean he makes good decisions (throws it away or takes a sack). Doesn't mean he doesn't have happy feet.

He got sacked six times against WKU. If WKU can generate that kind of pressure, I think our guys can too. He may not throw a pick but he does not have a great pocket presence.

Jarrett Lee had great stats too before the game last year. McCarron has not played a real defense this year. Go smoke something else.

That's fine, but how many of those has he thrown, and against what defenses? And in what formation. I'd be willing to guess his attempts plus 20 yds have been relatively few and the vast majority have come off of PA plays.

Further, I'm talking when he is challenged by good defenses, they go into that quick pass under 10 yard type passing attack (see GOTC part 1 and the NCG). Lots of back shoulder passes and curls routes.

Hit McCarron hard and hit him often. If they don't get some shots on him and disrupt his timing, it will be a very long and ugly night.
