re: LSU colors

School colors were purple and gold years ago but now are blue and yellow. I miss the old days.

My understanding is that our colors are (were?) technically royal purple and old gold. At some point in the last couple of decades, we were rocking canary yellow and something that was technically a shade of blue, though I can't remember the name. People used to talk about it on here a ton. We've migrated away from that blue into more of a true purple, though it looks like we are still doing something close to canary yellow.
