Nicholls did the same thing and failed miserably. The hire up marketing people continue to push those logos on athletics but athletics has pretty much said they are not using the Nazi.
Not only did they create a Nazi as the Colonel but they decided to take the sword out of the univerisities logo and make something similiar to Nebraska.
I had a guy who works in a Thibodaux gas station the other day say, " awesome that you went to Nebraska."
I wanted to say no idiot I went to Nicholls which is less then a mile away from this piece of shite store.
It is bad enough I have to defend our football team every day but now I have to defend the hire ups at Nicholls because of the decisions they have made. Now I have to defend the fact that those idiots thought it would be cool to develop an N without the sword.
Very similar to your situation. Things won't change they all think people will just accept it in the long run. WRONG!

Toonces has probably sold more LSU shite than any other LSU shite before it. Which is unfortunate because that's mostly because it came along when we were winning and picking up fans. So while we may not like it, it doesn't matter. The money talked, the conversation has been had already, Toonces is making it rain in the mind of the people in charge.
So bitching about it is kinda pointless. We're LSU. We can find better things to bitch about. If there's one thing LSU fans are good at other than drinking, cooking, and screaming, it's bitching about LSU.

Hate it! Absolutely despise it. I remember when it first launched and I was in school and EVERYONE hated it . Students, professors, janitors!
