This really says more about who they have lined up to replace Miles, than Miles himself.
It says way more.It strikes to the very heart of the integrity and honesty of the BOS, or at least this one member.

yeah I could see the next coach having asked that this occur.
So we are talking Petrino level ethics?
Why does that not thrill me?

I'm not following. You think the next coach wants the board to publicly cut the legs out from under the current coach?
How is that positive at all?

All I'm saying is that I hope that if they (board) are going to be coming out and making statements like this that obviously cut the legs out from under the head coach, then they better be sure they know what they are doing next.
They strike out and shite is going to get real quick.
And that's the divide in the fan base. Some are fearful and some are hopeful. Some think Nebraska, some think UF/OSU.
That's still no reason for Les to get an ultimatum from a boss publicly. Serves zero purpose. Les hasn't done anything to deserve that. He's been a good coach for LSU. If the BOS wants to move on, then move on. If the remaining games matter, they matter. If they don't, then they don't. Still just shut up about it.
Imagine if your boss came out and stated in front of the leadership team that even though you've been solid, if you don't nail this presentation, you're fricked. Thanks boss, GFY.

Let me guess, you want to put a great running back on the bench and throw more screens and passes to the tight ends?

yeah, it's dirty. I was about to post something about Petrino as well but didn't.
Les is viewed as a high character guy though so even though politics are sketchy in LA historically, this could turn out badly. I'm gonna do some digging on this.

It's called pressure... And most people with salaries as high as miles don't get as many free passes as he did
Posted on 11/20/15 at 10:00 pm to BeeFense5
not per se, but some kind of show of faith may have been requested.

I'm thinking more like Texas' search. All the talks about how they could buy anyone they wanted and how it's the best job in college football that they were spewing last year is eerily familiar to the comments that many lsu fans are making now. Plus now you have a board member running his mouth.
It's just not a good look. I honestly hope that if something is done, they t's are crossed and the i's are dotted because it will not be pretty if not.

Funny.. I remember running backs being able to catch screen passes.
Did they change the rules?

How would you know? You have no clue and will never know what people that make that kind of money live.
What you are telling me is that your hatred for Les Miles over rides all else; propriety, honor, class, honesty, integrity, respect. You just want his arse gone, no matter how.
What a shinning example of a human being you are.

But that's a separate argument from your bosses publicly calling you out. Especially if his employment is on the line. You tell that to HIM, you don't tell that to Glenn fricking Guilbeau.
I think it's subversive and unnecessary. If 2-0 isn't good enough, what's the purpose of telling a shitty reporter?

So THAT's the missing element, coach bengal? Flat passes to Fournette?
I bet you are real good at Madden too

None of those matter unless he wins games.
I owe him nothing.
He is paid to win championships. He isn't.

Lord Saban at LSU:
7-4
8-3
8-4
11-1
9-2
I guess 9-2 is fireable now. Craziness.

It's always going to be the same shite with Les. 2-3 losses every year at best with a couple lucky wins against mediocre teams. Not a serious contender for the SEC or Playoffs. Usually a VERY unorganized, sloppy looking offense with lots of future NFL players, and a QB that looks like he's a freshman in HS with no confidence. Every loss followed by an embarrassing head coach interview and press conference.
The level of excitement and fun isn't there like it used to be as a fan. (Doesn't look like it for the players either) Don't Bitch about fans leaving, Most fans at home are changing the channel to another game instead of watching that turd sandwich!!
At the very least this team needs a young hotshot offensive coordinator/QB coach to bring some imagination to the offense!!!

Bama was a presser away from landing Saban. It's legit. Then they fell back on Strong who, even with the lack of success so far, was a great get. That situation still hasn't played out IMO.
