Well I did and it was a great post. If we would have these guys you mentioned, we would be better and more talented than the Shaq days....Randolph, Morgan, T Thomas, Monroe, Rolle...Wow, that is the depth on the post that we needed this year

THANKS, for taking time out to read the post that i posted on page 2 of this thread, everyone was so busy arguing, calling each other foul name's, having EGO contest, and having a male pissin' contest, that they didn't pay it any attention and even skipped right over it! Not even to make one comment on what i said in that post about past LSU player's and former LSU Coach Butch Pierre...
I appreciate the fact that you didn't skip over it, i appreciate the fact that you read it, and even liked it, Thanks for letting me know!!!

I doubt that the originator of this thread has even read it, and if he has, he hasn't had the courtesy to comment about it. Maybe it is because MY post on page 2 of this thread, makes alot of SENSE!!!

BEAT TENNESSEE!!!

I just don't understand why some people are obsessed with negativity, its like being that way is the drug that helps them with a loss. This team will get some signature wins this season they may just not be at home.

So you only focus on the successful programs, which makes you a bandwagon fan.

I'm SURE of LSU won a championship in basketball, you would be cheering your head off.

And, oh by the way, weren't we in the Final 4 just a few short years ago??? That kinda proves we have the potential to do big things, shite takes time.

when you say DICK in history, are you implying that the multiple NC's that LSU won were a fluke, im not following you...that post made no sense...

What multiple national championships did we win before Skip? I must have missed those.

His post made complete sense and made you look really foolish by trying to say LSU couldn't build a successful program, but judging from your posts, I wouldn't really expect you to understand a logical post.

Chunk, did you forget 2006. If Trent were coaching that team, they would of won it all. The most notible or famous Lsu athlete are all basketball players

That is mostly because they don't wear a helmet and you can see their face.

Not negative, but think about it. When kids come out of high school and want to play football, where do they look? LSU, no, Notre Dame, Florida State, Nebraska, Florida, etc....all football schools. LSU cannot get the recruiting in football and cannot seal the big games. I just focus on baseball, LSU football is not worth mine or anyones time.

oooh... see what I did there? rewind the clock 12 years and see if you were one of these.

As a 51 year alum who was in school from 75-79, who witnessed Dale Brown build something from a situation much worse than we have been in the last few years, the first post on this thread is the stupidist thing I have ever seen on Tiger Rant. I don't post often, but was compelled here. I guess we should of dropped football after the Curley years...if you follow this chap's thinking. LSU has a great basketball history. LSU basketball is heading in the right direction.

well put! totally agree!!!
thing is, alot people have never followed lsu intill the last few yrs when lsu football became on of the top 10 skewls yr in an yr out.
that being said they think basketball should be on that level as well.

Yes the university that has produced three of the greatest Bball players of all-time (Pistol, Petit and Shaq) has no chance of success after a 10 point loss to the 13th ranked team in the country....

I am a Texas fan here, from Austin, visiting your board and I too think the original post is ridiculous. The team has already improved and there is no reason LSU cannot recruit well in LA, Arkansas, MS, Texas and surrounding area. I good coach is the main determining factor, in my opinion, and you have a good coach.

No hate... but the money is there. Xavier and the other non football playing schools have a little more resources than we do. But on that note we should have more moneys and more attraction than them except schools such as Duke

Wrong Ddale. Your statement is completely ridiculous and false. LSU has resources for basketball. Don't blame the loss to Xavier by saying they have more money than us. Do you think Xavier's coach makes more than Trent Johnson?

If Xavier was such a tradition rich basketball school and had tremendous resources, why do their coaches use the job as a stepping stone to bigger schools?
