LSU basketball players’ chances of staying or going pro

Naz Reid— obviously just announced he’s going pro. Naz told the staff before he committed he was 100% one&done, no matter what.
Tremont Waters— this is a huge one. The areas where Tremont lacks NBA ability are not really things he can improve at this point (size). He’s an incredible college player, but staying isn’t gonna make him grow. His dad is pushing him to leave. One thing LSU has working for us is that his girlfriend is on the LSU women’s bball team and as of now will be back next season. 70% leave, 30% stay. Obviously what happens to Coach Wade can have a big impact on both outcomes.
Skylar Mays— will be back next season, barring the death penalty for the program. Obviously wants to get his degree. Does have major NBA aspirations. Dude will play in the NBA, see: Temple, Garrett. He’s that good of a guy. That good of a locker room presence.
Javonte Smart, Emmitt Williams, Marlon Taylor— only way they leave is if Wade leaves AND LSU is hit with major sanctions. Otherwise, they will all be back next season.

Ice has spoken. They need to get Marshall more than 2 min per game next year brah.

Graves should have gotten minutes against both Yale and Maryland.

I said this last week, but I have heard he’s already told a few people not to expect him back

Tre will win some people over in workouts/ 5-on-5s. I don’t expect him back. Would love to be wrong but like Naz he had his sight set on this summer.

In all honesty, not one player on this team is ready for the next level!
Reid will go 2nd round. Drift between G league and NBA. Be over seas within 3 years.

I hate to say it but I don't Smart coming back. He's already had to sit a game because of all this stuff going on and chances are more may be coming out. He had a good year and has a ton of potential and that's what the NBA drafts on is potential. I think he will announce very soon, unfortunately.

Vanilla has credibility, you have none.

And still make more money than you

Smart isn’t on any mock drafts

GL Naz Reid. I suppose I would take the money too, but like the poster above he needs to learn to speak Italian , French , etc .

Javonte Smart, Emmitt Williams, Marlon Taylor
Coach Wade could turn that team into a contender.

You don't know.
He might fall in with a great coach and learn post move footwork and 3 pt NBA line.
Presume the highest.
I remember some Michigan pg went to Europe, came back as starter in NBA.
Guys learn.

At this point I don't think it really matters who stays or leaves. I mean, the damage has already been done regardless what happens with WW. Two big time recruits are probably going elsewhere now and I'd imagine the LSU admin is going to self induce some major penalties regardless what the NCAA does. They already ruined the NCAA tourney for LSU. The only way this program gets saved is WW is cleared of any wrongdoing, returns and gets these recruits that are looking at LSU. But the LSU admin's overreaction has already done harm that may not be fixed.

Spot on. I really think Skylar is a better shooter. It's guys like this you need to have on the team to be successful, college or pro. You have to have a mix of just regular damn good players and a star or 2.
Great update

Days will be back.
Hyatt is very good. Being converted to more of a 3. He should be a senior in HS this year so next year he’ll be a frosh but still have a year in the program under his belt.
Courtese is... well I don’t want to bash the kid, but he’s not very good.
