Just got back from the game...

Was their any mention of Issac on the broadcast? I was wondering why he didn't play.

Both teams played well..LSU should have won by a lot more. Free throw shooting was not great at all. Stringer could not hit anything. Arkansas could not stop Hamilton or JOB in the middle. Hickey definitely makes our offense roll. Eddie played well at times, but on the defensive end he just doesn't have the quickness to stay with his guy.

Tigers actually cover the 4 1/2 points.

Not for lack of effort on the part of the darker of the two bald refs (sorry.... Can't think of a better way to describe him...)

You could tell what side his money was on.

I think he called all three of the imaginary fouls on layups AND "missed" the obvious out of bounds call.

Try to be a little less obvious there, Donaghy.

LSU played well tonight compared to the last few games. Hamilton and Hickey are keys to this team and when Ralston is hitting we are a different team, Johnny O looked good and bad- he needs the weight room to strengthen his bulk and somebody to tell him he could be a beast if he would muscle up

That being said I still do not understand what TJ is trying to do with the offense- we stand around a lot and get caught in traps- we don't seem to play like a practiced team but rather a group of guys who are used to playing with each other.

I will take a win any way we can get it- but again we beat a team that has not won on the road all year- keep it in perspective

We have talent, just not sure it is developed.

He did, he ended up being correct on one, but he blew the whistle WAY before any contact was made... I hate when refs do that shite.

This.

I haven't seen an LSU offense with talent look this inept ever. I seriously doubt that TJ will succeed here as HC but if he has any chance he needs to hire an offensive mind as assistant and let him run the offense IMHO.

That being said good win for the Tigers!

Just my opinion, but Stringer needs to ride the pine, or at least not shoot at all.

Problem is we really don't have anyone to replace him with. Trust me he's much better this year just simply because he's not playing at the 1 spot. He'll come off the bench I'd bet next year with Morgan coming in, but I could be wrong about that.

He's had just enough good scoring games this year that the staff believes they can trust him more than Isaac or Courtney, but enough bad games where you wonder if he can ever be consistent.

He actually had alot of good looks today, and I only thought he took one bad shot. But damn, he missed alot of good open looks in rhythmn tonight.

This. I have no idea what happened today, but I remember thinking multiple times, "Damn he's wide open he's gotta make this" only to have it not go for him. I do like that he didn't jack up bad shots tonight, maybe the coaches finally said something about it?

That was my thought 7218.

I even heard Trent say we had to take good shots during the week, which I was glad to here as I know his philosiphy is to value offensive freedom over affecting confidence.

But I don't think there's any doubt the team as a whole showed more discipline in shot selection today than in probably any game this year.

Big win for TJ, he needed this badly

Alleva will be antsy to sign him up to a 5 year contract extension now.

Was Derrenbecker leaving a big loss for us?

A loss yes, but unknown how big. Where did he wind up at this year?

Good shooter on the perimeter, total liability defensively though.

This team needs a good shooter on the perimeter. His defense doesn't matter. Need the points outside.
