LSU baseball pants vs other teams

Our guys either wear their pants just below their knees or all the way to the top of their shoes.
I'm seeing player on other teams ( at least one MSU player) with pants ABOVE his knees. Have seen this from other teams as well.
WHat is the reason, other than personal choice, & who started this dumb trend?

The absolute best way to wear baseball pants is a clean and precise tuck about mid to upper calf accompanied by stirrups.
Used to be common practice in the Majors but seldom seen today even though college softball players have adopted the look.

Watson was drafted in the freaking 40th round and all of us that watched closely and know anything saw that coming. I had always assumed it was a guy trying to make the strike zone appear higher up.
