LSU-Bama to start at 2:30 p.m.

The LSU-Alabama game set for Nov. 8 in Tiger Stadium will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. Central time.
Other games on the Southeastern Conference slate that day include Arkansas at South Carolina, Tennessee-Martin at Auburn, Florida at Vanderbilt, Georgia at Kentucky and Wyoming at Tennessee.
The LSU-Alabama contest will be televised by CBS.

I'm working on getting tickets for this game, but if I don't get them, I may not even watch it. CBS is nothing but commercials these days. It's gotten to the point of ridiculous.

It is my understanding that once we have appeared on CBS in the 2:30 slot, we could decline moving the kickoff time. This is what I thought the conference rules were for TV appearances and revenue.

well, hope it gets dark earlier than this past week...fall back and all...
Also, since Bama's motto is "the Tide don't lose in Baton Rouge," we need a new approach...have NOBODY outside the visitor's locker room when they arrive...everyone quiet for warmups etc...then lower the friggin BOOM when the game starts

If we keep losing, we will no longer have to worry about the 2:30 starting slot. I remember similiar thoughts prior to UGA in '03.
If you wish for LSU to continue to be great, you need to get used to this time slot.
When the hell did the tailgate party and the pictures, etc. you can show your friends and post on the internet start to matter more than the game?
I must be getting old.

How bad were they this past weekend? Danielson was at least openly critical of the officials when we got jobbed at AhBarn and UF in 2006.

Was at the game Saturday. Seemed like the tv official was on the field more than the players. Totally frustrating.

Lundquist just keeps getting worse. Danielson, I thought, had one of the best games a color man can have Saturday. He was as much in LSU's huddle as Georgia's coaches were and made a lot of calls before the play happened. When something went wrong, he knew why and said so.
Danielson did not call the Auburn game in 2006. The CBS crew was Craig Bolerjack on play-by-play
and Steve Buerlein as the analyst.
